The new number one in performance and price! The new Turnigy Lipoly packs deliver full capacity at the said C rate. You wont find a better deal in Lithium Polymer batteries anywhere!
you can use them together with no problem. just pay attention not to connect them together if one is charged and the other discharged. They have to be the same voltage when connecting.
What kind of a wiring harness is out there for parallel? I use XT60 connectors. Is there something that can easily connect the two batteries and then to the ESC?
Yes they do come in parallel conectors for XT60 or XT90. The XT60 is part #258000015 from HK. I found them in the battery adapters they also have them in series style for higher voltage, and for the price I can't make them myself and save money.
What you mean is the maximum charge current allowed is 3 amps for the fastest charge possible. a 1.5 amp charge rate will also double the time it takes to charge your lipo.
best charge rate is 1c or 3 amps. with most lipos unless stated is 1c (1x the amp mah rating) when i break my lipos in i work my way up to that charge rating. when i break it in, then i charge at that voltage usually break in is 5 charge cycles
In theory, the batery can give 60 amps (20C) but in practice I've found that even at 40 amps, 3 of these batteries have failed - all puffed, and one lost a cell. Better to go for the 40C version which seems more reliable.
Hy! I use this battery in my M249 airsoft gun, and it is amaizing. It has a 1200 rof, and it can shoot 4000 BBs before rechargeing. I highly recommend this item!
Hi ! =D The V400D02 Lipo looks like equiped by 3mm HTX connector and I think the charger can't detect the capicity of the Lipo which is higher than the guenine. In add, your Lipo is to heavy ! The guenine Lipo has 1200mAh. You should buy a Turnigy 2200mAh (maximum) 3S 20C or 25C to haven't a warm Lipo after a flight.
How can I connect this battery with a cable of 4 pins, on my reciever Futaba 6 EX 2.4GHz FASST?
¿*I need an Adapter?
If anyone know how, please tell me. thank you
You need to use the BEC (battery eliminator circuit) from a ESC(electronic speed controller) or a stand alone BEC regulator. It will regulate the voltage to your RX at 5v or 6v. You'll have to put a matching power plug on the BEC or ESC to plug into the battery. The 4 pin plug is used for balancing the voltage of the cells on the battery and will plug into the LiPo balancing port of your charger.
Ho my god, Can I connect these Lipo to 4 motors (in the same time, for a quadcopter) wich are powered by 21 Amps ? It is a 20C Lipo so it is able to deliver 20x3000=60 Amps but Do I add the total power of the motors 20x4=80 Amps... 80>60 Amps *(
You can hook this battery to anything that takes 12 volts, but the speed controller (ESC)needs to have lipo protection.Which keeps you from running the battery all the way down, which will destroy the battery(puffed). You can run without lipo protection, but you have to be careful and shut it down as soon as you start to here the power declineing.
Typical quadcopters draws 12-15A max to one motor . In normal flight you need totaly 12-16Amps . This battery is 20-30C and can give Peak Discharge (10sec): 30C . On my 800grams quadcopter i use 2200 20C lipo .you can mesure needed power , quad weight = 4 x trust of motors needed ,teoreticaly 200g trust need 3A **> 4x3A 6A = typical flight power .In acro flight you need 2x more power but is peak power.
Sorry, I misspoke, and I'll try to rephrase my question : Data : - 4 Motors **> 21A each - Lipo **> 3S 3000mAh 20C (=60Amps Max)
The 4 motors use 21Amps x 4 = 82 Amps or just 21 Amps... Because if the motors use 82 Amps my Lipo will not have enough C beacause 82 Amps > 60 Amps... So, in fact, my question is, How can I calculate the consumption of 4 motors (Wich run in the same time) wich use 21 Amps each to choose the most suitable C for the Lipo ?
Its better to play it safe. So take the max possible current each motor can draw, multiply by four, and then add a couple amps for a safety margin. For your use, it seems that a 40C pack would be sufficient. They are not significantly more expensive.
I would recommend a IMAX B8 charger from hobbyking, they charge everything up to 8 cell lipo , they have a great LCD display and you can also check each individual battery cell voltage and ensure the battery is balacing well .Most charges over $30 on hobby king will charge a 3S battery no worries .Your battery is a 3 cell 11.1 volt battery, the reference is 3S on the specs.A 4 cell loop will say 4s.A 5 cell 5s and so on.
The best charge is 1C means 3Amp. You can use more Amps but not for long.Using 1C that is for 1000mAh battery 1Amp ,2000mAh 2Amp and so will keep your battery better and longer life*-)
Type lipo balance in hobbyking search field. All hobbyking lipo balance products is suit to charge this battery battery. Use lipo balance mode and dont over amps by calculate your battery capacity times dc C and time 75pcnt. You will found the Ampere which suits to charge your battery
it depends on your headspeed. With a 2200Kv motor on a 3s pack, you'd have to use a 16t or 17t pinion. I think on a 450, you'd be using a 4s pack and 13t pinion with a 2200Kv motor. A 3000mah 3s pack is also a bit too big for a 450 - you'd have balance issues and maybe a hard time fitting it under the canopy. With HS 2400, you can hover for 9 minutes on a 3s 2200 pack with the right gearing.
Flight time vaires with the type of flying you do so if you are just learning to hover 6 to 8 mins is ok from a 3000 mah battery it also depends on how much load you have on your heli like meatl head etc. To increase the flight time you have to increase the mah but consider the space available to fit in the higher mah battery. Also your flight time will reduce if you are on Idle up mode as higher head speed consumes more amps hence the battery drains faster. Heliflyer
depending on your pinion and motor affectflight times. 8 mins is not unusual for a 2200 pack on a 450. hovering uses for juice than flying around unless you do hard 3d
I think you are asking what this 3000mAh pack will extend the flight time on you HK450 by ? The biggest problem will be that the extra weight will send the centre of gravity way out so I would not bother
these are too large for a 450. if you want to extend your flight time, use lower head RPM by altering your throttle curve or putting a smaller pinion on your motor. A torque tube tail drive will also help. Hovering uses more power than forward flight so flying gentle cicruits will extend your flight time.
That sounds about right for hovering.
(a helicopter?) Hovering demands a lot from a battery. (This is true for any flying aircraft as well) Flying around uses less energy, believe it or not.
i want to use a 40 amp towerpro 3s esc and the turnigy 3530-1400kv engine on a .35 size trainer aircraft. would this battery allow me 10 minute flights? thanks !
What was the norm and burst current rating specified for ESC on Gaui 500? Did both battery swelled or just one?
I'm concerned if this battery is safe for ESC limited at 40/50Amp. My intrepretation of above spec is that 60Amp burst lasting 10 seconds is a red zone (possible battery expolsion) for this battery, but its totally useless for the end user. A real useful data is like what is a real absolute maximum current draw that this battery can tolerate without inflicting a damage, like in your situation?
Just take 11.1 x kv of your motor and then use you gear ratio to figure top speed

14 thumbs up!
Bought one, puffed in the first flight at 10C discharge and less than half capacity used. Maybe next time I will be lucky.

11 thumbs up!
One of the two batteries with a voltage was below 3V per cell :((
Charger refused to charge, it was necessary first to charge as NIcd and then as Lipo. I doubt that after this will work well :(

7 thumbs up!
Nice pack, only wish they came with TEE cannector, had to change plug, nothing I had was compatible, the 4mm plugs look good but are useless if you have nothing to connect to them. I hope there is some standadisation in connectors soon. otherwise it would be 5 stars..
