Are you able to use these on a HobbyKing Scimitar FPV 230mm -> the Motormounts are 16mm appart but it states that it is max 2208 motor size. Thanks for you help!

What type of esc should i use for this if i use 5040prop with 2s lipo and what thrust can iget with this configuration. Please help me out

i use a 12 A Plush Turnigy ESC in my seaplane with a 5045 3-blade Prop and 3 s.

Hi Gatakari. You should expect in the region of 250g thrust at 5A on your 5x4 prop - Go to a 6x4 and you'll get about 340g thrust at 8A - Much more efficient!

can i mount this on a mini skywalker? I am not looking for speed, rather more ability to fly in mild wind, if anyone can help, thanks.

What esc for a 6x4 prop on 2s?
 Carsten 21 points
Plush 12A or 18 A. 18 Amps when u put the ESC in the Fuselage. 12 A when the ESC is outside for cooling. (Behind Motor).

22 thumbs up!
Lams are .35mm, not .2 as advertised so I dinged it one star for not being what was advertised. Same stator as the 2211-1700 with 25 turns Delta 28awg rather than 35 turns Delta 31 awg. Better winding, better performance. Hardware weighs about one gram less but additional wire brings the weight up a little higher. Good with GWS 7035 2S or GWS 5030/4540 3S. 5043 is also possible but amp load gets well over 10. Most people will see this as an improvement over the 2211-1700.

This is a very good little motor! I use it with a 5x4 pusher prop and the maximum amp draw is 9A @ full throttle.
The use of an esc with programmable timing is a must! It will NOT work with the TowerPro series esc, since they do not support timing programmability, although their specs say the opposite!!!

This thing rocketh, that's for durn sure! I tried some other mini HC motors on my Blueper and Flops-A-Lot with little success. Then I went to this motor. Wow! Power out the ears and it still runs cool. Sorry about not having numbers, but I tested it at the dome and was *very* impressed. Running a 10A Simple and GWS EP-4040 prop on 3S with 500 mAH 20C Zippy the Flops-A-Lot is ready for full combat. Yeow!

Laminations ARE .2 as description says. Motor seems to be wound well and spins a 5x4 like a mad man!
I didnt use the included mount.

Nice. Do not use with 6x3 and a 3S - it's too much
