Turnigy batteries are known the world over for performance and price, so it’s no surprise to us that they're the go to pack for those in the know.
Turnigy Hardcase batteries stand up to the stress and shock associated with the punishing extremes of on or off road racing. No matter the type of driving you prefer, Turnigy hardcase packs are an ideal choice.
Turnigy Hardcase Lipoly packs utilise IR matched cells, deliver the rated capacity and perform when you punch the throttle. You simply won’t find a better value hardcase pack anywhere!
Maximum charge current is : charge rate (max) * capacity, so that is 5 * 5000 = 25000mAh, or 25A. In theory you can charge it with 25 amps, beware though that the battery will not last very long and you must be very, very careful with the battery temperature. I would absolutely not recommend charging at that current, I would suggest a max of 5-10 amps, that will keep the temperature in check and make the battery last a lot longer. A charge rate of 1 to 2C is best for this battery.
Has anyone removed the harcase? Can someone tell me the dimensions without the case? I want to use this battery with TBS discovery clone frame with 37mm clearance between the body plates. Obviously It won't fit with the case, but I wasn't planning on using the case anyway. If 44mm is the height of the battery, by removing the case, it sounds plausible to gain 6-7mm.
Yes you can with no problem. I think this is the best battery with lower price :)
Mine arrives today, it looks really good.
Cells were at 3.83, 3.84, 3.85 and 3.84.
I expected that the weight might be an error because the weight they give is less than of other zippy's and turnigy's with the same specs without hard case, but it was actually 4 grams lighter, total 524 grams.
This batteries are perfect for my big multi rotor. I use two of them parallel and they keep my copter flying longer than batteries that are higher rated. The value for the price is more than excellent.
