OrangeRx T-SIX 2.4GHz DSM2 6CH Programmable Transmitter w/10 Model Memory (Mode 2)

Have you been waiting for a fully programmable OrangeRx DSM2 transmitter? If so, your wish has been granted and at a price that's guaranteed to blow your socks off!!

The OrangeRx T-SIX is a brilliant, fully programmable 6 channel 2.4GHz DSM2 transmitter that is loaded with features. Covering just about everything for both fixed wing and helicopters, the T-SIX supports multiple wing types, multiple swashplate types, channel mixing, subtrim, exponential, dual rates, travel adjustment, servo monitor, graphic pitch/throttle curves, 10 model memory and so much more! This little gem even features an adjustable RF power output setting in the menu, allowing users to switch between US and EU power standards.

All of the programming functions are displayed on the large and easy to read backlit LCD display. You can easily navigate through the menus with the convenient scroll wheel, or by using the menu buttons. The menu system is very intuitive and easy to use, unlike some other transmitters on the market today that require studying of the manual to operate.

When it comes to powering your transmitter, the T-SIX has you covered for just about any battery type. It can operate on 4 x AA size Alkaline, NiMH or NiCD cells, but also features an in-built JST plug in the battery compartment allowing you to use a 2 cell LiFE or LiPO pack as well! The transmitter's low voltage battery alarm is adjustable via the menu to suit whichever battery chemistry you choose.

Because the T-SIX operates on DSM2, it is compatible with our full range of OrangeRx DSM2 receivers. We offer everything from 4CH micro to 9CH full-range receivers, all at a price that can't be beat! (see related items below for our list of compatible OrangeRx DSM2 receivers)

Tx is not 'binding' today [was OK yesterday] and have also noticed a red light at the back which I hadn't spotted before, wondered if anyone could suggest anything.
Richard  1 points - 8/15/2014
Does anyone out there know the solution to my problem which is when I switch my Tx off while the acft battery is still connected the motor goes to full power and it won't stop until the Tx is turned back on again?

Hi Richard, it sounds like your ESC failsafe is not set, i would look for the instruction manual for your ESC and put that right also as a rule I personally never switch off my transmitter until i have disconnected the battery from the aircraft. I hope this helps

Thanks Dylan, I must admit I've been a bit complacent because with my other tx (the cheapest HK model) this problem doesn't exist even with the same ESC. How do I go about setting failsafe on my ESC?
 Kenneth L 4 points
If this problem doesn't exist With Your other tx and same ESC, my guess would be that you might have a failsafe in Your New RX. In that case, you would have to set up the failsafe in the rx to go to zero throttle when you loose signal from TX(for example when you turn it off). For Orange receivers this is usually the procedure: - Turn off TX & RX - Insert the binding plug - Switch on the RX, then it flashes - Remove the binding plug. RX keeps flashing - Switch on the TX in binding mode with the sticks at desired positions It may or may not be the problem. Give it a shot :-)

I have an ORX T-6 TX with which I am well pleased. I have recommended one to a beginner friend who has bought a foamie trainer with a very basic TX. He will need a buddy lead for instruction.. There seems to be no information on the use of the trainer port on the orange TX. Has anyone any sound into on what is available as a buddy lead, and where from?

I bought this radio, and I have the first 5 channels operating normally, but the "AUX" channel is only mirroring the throttle, but reversed. I have checked all the "Reverse Channels" Setting and they are all normal, and my receiver is fine, I have used the channels before* but with the AUX it does not link to a switch or anything- it only mirrors and reverses what the throttle switch does. If anyone has found a fix for this problem or has also had this issue, please reply! Thanks in Advance!

am not sure if my message went through, so here i am again: i have been using the orange and am happy with it. still, i have some questions that i hope you could answer: 1.-is there a low voltage alarm that sounds a beep? i don't see that i can program it. 2.-which is the recommended lowest voltage? 3.-sometimes i hear a beep, but don't know what it is telling me. thanks

On the tx if you scroll through and go to setup list- tx setting you will see your battery type. NORM/4s being 4 aa batteries. Then under that you can choose what voltage the tx will start beeping at to alert you. Mine is set to the lowest for aa, which is 4.4v. That means when the batteries get to 4.4v the tx will start constantly beeping. One beep can mean a few things. If you hit the timer it will beep meaning it has started or stopped. Also every minute it will beep once and when time runs out it will beep a couple times. The scroll wheel also beeps when you push or scroll it. Usually if there is a random beep it is a accidental scroll wheel push. Pushing on trim tabs also makes a beep.

I dont know about the durability of gimbals and switches, but, this thing deserves 5 stars. The lcd is easy to read, high contrast backlit. Menu is easy to navigate. It works on 4 AA or one 2S lipo. The 800mah lipo from my old lama4 coaxial heli did fit in. The colour is wonderful. 5 stars. My daughter likes it too.
