This tiny yet brilliantly designed Mini-Hex features an integrated PCB frame, Simply bolt on the motors then solder your choice of 12amp ESC directly to the frame!

An integrated power distribution system is also included making for one of the neatest electronics installs around. All mounting hardware and frame components are included in the kit. All you will require to have this hexcopter in the air is six Turnigy T2205-1500kv motors, six 12A ESCs, a set of 8x4.5 props (3 clock wise and 3 counter clockwise) a 1300~1800mah 3s 11.1v Lipoly battery, a HobbyKing Multi-rotor control board and your own transmitter and receiver (Tx/Rx).

This is only a fun kit as I see in videos. You can see many vids of this kit on youtube. This kit isnt for photography or any other cool thing. its for fun flying only.

I'm a novice to helicopters, but I'd like to try building this. Problem is that I cannot find the recommended motor(s) anywhere (Turnigy T2205 - 1500kv). Could anyone recommend a comparable motor that would function nicely with the other recommended electronics? Would any 1500kv motor(s) work? Thanks for any advice! - Marc

They are under Brushless motors > KDA outrunners or parkfly motors. Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock right www.link every 1500 kv motor will work. It should be a motor with similar kv and also similar weight. Take a look at the 24 gram 1300kv Hextronic motor. That could be a suitable (and cheaper) www.link

try this one D2822/17 really cheap. good motor doesnt heat up at all after 8 min flight. lower kv means can use bigger prop and more lift....chears

Interesting concept .. 420mm black frame with red circles as guides. Without FPV gear, I wonder how far away this can go before orientation becomes an issue - specially on a cloudy day.

It will, but you have to carry the hex:)) I've build same size recently with Hextronik 24gr 1300kv motors, it carries Gopro with FPV gear, still loads of power and good flying time on 3s 3.0A Nanotech's

This frame arrived well packed. The parts fitts well together. The integrated PCB makes life a lot easier....and not. I mounted D2822/17 motors and 12A turnigy ESC's. I used 8x4.5 SF props. I used a arduino mega board with a 9DOF IMU and megapirates software as a controller. Whilst tuning the PID's, I experienced violent vibration. I balanced the props and check the motor bells and tried again. A little better, but basically the same results. The down side of the PCB mounted wiring is that with the vibration, the motor wires breaks off inside their housing. This would not have happened if it was a motor to ESC connection. I've been unable to isolate the source of the vibration - Im starting to suspect that it might be harmonics?? I also managed to break the undercarriage in the process - it looks pretty but underdesigned for the application. Its a fairly sturdy frame. Good space to pack away the esc's and other electronics. The red front markers are great. If only i could sort out my vibration issue.
