This little power house has performed flawlessly. For a balsa rubber band conversion at 175 grams, it is almost too powerful. For comparison, it has way more power than a Cox .020. I fly at half throttle most of the time getting 8-10 Min. flights on a 350mAh 2S Li-Po and a 5x3 prop. I have never had any issues with the small wires as they are typical for this size motor. Great buy so I got another one for a new park flyer project.

I thought I order one for the mini popwing I was wrong. Way under powered!!! trouble doing a loop. or gain speed 1. the wires are so thin 28 plus awg 2. could this need breaking in 3. could I have the black wires incorrect?? just lucky it is a SLOW motor,, for the popwing Lol

You can't wire a brushless 3-wire motor wrong. Connect all 3 wires, and if it rotates the wrong direction, just swap two of the wires. Most ESC's allow you to change rotation direction without rewiring anyway.

being new to rc i was not aware that i would also need a prop adapter... what size do i need? the spec says its a 1.5mm shaft, but i dont want to order something i dont need.

Hello! I just ordered this and assumed that the pictured prop adapter with the "prop saver" rubber bands came with it. Is that not true? Should I order a prop adapter too?

What prop did you buy for this

Received this motor today, all it wants to do is jitter back and forth. Going to take it apart to see if anything is wired wrong. Looks like it is time to see what kind of system Hobby King has for Defective merchandise returns.

I got it working. Turned out to be operator error. Didn't get one of the leads fully soldered to the connector. HK needs an edit function to their review system.

Nice little BL! Gives the Bonsai-Wing enough power for light aerobatics w/ a 2S 700mAh LiPo and 6x3 Prop. Flight times are about 20min w/ moderate aerobatics. Climbing at 45 degrees are no issue with this one. A bit of con: The wires like to brake easy. be aware to bend them often.

Just put it on today. Did a small test of 'Pull power' Got it to pull 144g, with a 5/3 prop far from the 170 they say. ! Did not get hot at all. :)Looks like a good build. More to come when I have been out flying.
