Zero Brushless (PNF)

Zero Brushless (PNF)
Zero Brushless (PNF)

The Zero was a shock to Allied fighter pilots when first encountered in the early days of the Pacific war, dominating the skys with its speed, lightweight design and heavy armament. The Zero proved lethal in a dogfight until it was eventually overcome by superior new fighters and a change of tactics used by allied fighter pilots.

This great looking Parkfly model captures the spirit of the zero with its scale outline and pre-applied matt paint. A powerful pre-fitted brushless motor offers fighter like flight performance and the pre-fitted servos handle the Zero like tight turns. You have the option of fixed under-carriage or hand launch, and being a Plug N Fly, around an hour or so is all you need before you are patroling the skys looking for that next dogfight.

dose this plane came with a remote control please get back to me with a aswer asap please
 Gary 2988 points
No it doesn't,you will need a transmitter, receiver, battery and suitable charger.
 firedawg 54 points
Hi George, not sur eif this applies to you, but if you don't already have a radio system, I was advised to educate and buy as decent as a radio as you can. Now I didn't listen to wealth of knowledge and before I realized I do want a better radio, I had purchased 3 ready to fly models and not one of them was worth a dime, but i sure did pay for them, just paying forward what I consider good to know info. I ordered this one last week when there was two left, can't wait to get it, I will post a rteview on how it is, Cheers from Canada

So who flys this? Mine just will not fly!
 Misfit mma 119 points
Mine flies great! I put a 3536 motor 9x6 prop with an aluminum motor mount. Ive also adjusted both ailerons 2mm down to give it that flaps effect.

did u ever get it to fly? what exactly was the symptoms. "will not fly" could mean anything from no power to no control authority or too much etc.
Kellyann  16225 points - 2/11/2012

So will anyone help a girl OUT. What is the C of G please?
 Cajun Kidd 1 points
it stands for center of gravity and refers to how balanced a plane is
 Kellyann 16225 points
Cajun Kidd sorry I know I wanted the C of G for this plane? I have one and it will not fly.
 mustangfan 26 points
Hi Kellyann:
If no one really knows, try 1/3 the width of the wing chord (measured back from leading edge of wing) and do your test flight over grass.

 Kellyann 16225 points
mustangfan thanks I have tried that. Also I knew that but still flies bad!!!
 zandecki 3 points
no it's a wing that is elliptical in shape. the CG is 4.7mm distance from the leading edge. he can fly with it
 zandecki 3 points
oups the CG is 47mm and not 4.7 mm sorry
 Kellyann 16225 points
zandecki I wish I could reward you SORRY!!! Do you have a manual!!
 zandecki 3 points
hi, no i don't have the manual, but i calculed it .

I received with the cover off, customer service seems to me turned round and asked me and ask for more pictures! no information about the balance! he can not fly with lipo 2S! can be fly with 3S! I regret this purchase and the way the support takes my comments.
 Allison 1356 points
It is sorry you regret you purchase. This plane it a hard one to master. You can find it on other web site. I found with mine balance was very important. I need a 11.1v 900 Lipo. I find if you trim it and reduce movement of ailerons to about less than 5mm deflection. As I said it is hard to fly but get it right it then looks cool in the sky.
 zandecki 3 points
always waitting replacement since september 2011 !! don't buy it in this shop !
 Allison 1356 points
That is a shame. So you no longer buy at HK or you did not buy plane at HK
 zandecki 3 points
always waitting the replacement !!! don't buy it in this shop . now better and better hk don't answer me !!! this shop is very not serious advice look elsewhere buy in other shop
 Kellyann 16225 points
zandecki so how did you go. Did you get it complete and did you get it to fly. Mine has been on the shelf for months. Evey says it flies but mine does not either.
 Kellyann 16225 points
zandecki do you have manual with C of G may be???
 zandecki 3 points
hi, no manual with G point. i calculed the G point on 4.7mm. regards
 yamaha 6 points
I had this model now deceased but it was one of the best fun planes I have ever flown-fast and very aerobatic. I ran a HK 2810/1400kv bell motor with a 3s 1300 battery. I flew that plane hard for atleast 2 years. So much fun. Currently fly PA extra260 and a Kyosho spit 50. The zero does not look as impressive as either of these models but it a thrill to fly Cheers Billie Boy Blue mountains Aus
 Kellyann 16225 points
zandecki and yamaha I wish one of you had answer my question above so I could have of rewarded you GUYS THANKS. So why does not mine fly????
 yamaha 6 points
I forgot to mention the I ran an 8x6 prop. As far as CG is concerned It was never measured but determined in practice . I removed the wheels and hand launched over very long grass and found that it flew best with the 1300 battery inserted about 3/4 of its lenght into the space allowed for it in the cockpit. Because I never used wheels I removed the rudder servo and glued the rudder straight. It was a dream to hand launch. Its only problem was the towerpro motor bent shafts so easily but I got pretty good at reversing them and sometimes even straightening them and reusing. I think I foound you could even cut off the bent bit and reuse. A small 80g motor of similar spec with a 4mm shaft would be much better. Of course if you leave the wheels on it my not be a problem but I like the clean look in the air. I think I will buy a ARF and fit it out sooooooo cheap for so much fun Cheers Blue Mountains Bill Sydney Aus

It is woth buying this to see the worst aleron hinges ever concieved. fragile eps and wants a bag of cement (brickies light)up front. Not for the novice but a dream in the hands of an expert.
 Misfit mma 119 points
The hinge system on this is exactly like the hinges on old nitro powered planes, highly acrobatic. Cut my aileron throws to 50% and flies just fine. Added 24 oz. on mine for balance. Nice flyer. .

is this rc plane good for beginners?
 yamaha 6 points
This is a fantastic model!!!! I ran a tower pro bell motor of 1400kv with a 8x6 prop with a 1300mah bat. So responsive loved it for about 2yrs the destroyed it...........radio malfunct. a servo reversal on hand launch.....spectrum........no reason........just happened.....launched pulled up she went down......splat destroyed. Yep ailerons are held on with a strip of licorice but in all that time i had no probs. I fly precision aerobatics extra 260 Kyosho 50 spit etc but that little zero was my fav. Blue Mountains Billie

there are replacement parts for this rc, like the wing?
tks
 F100CUFFLINK 886 points
NOT THAT I KNOW OFF ,BUT ITs foam and easy to repair just a bit of epoxy or foam safe ca will do, its a fixer at the field
 spitfire2010 640 points
What else do you know cufflink?
 Drew73 82 points
This is identical to the GWS Zero by the looks of it i had two GWS zero's and the ailerons are way to long and a real handfull to fly! I cut the ailerons in two and ran a servo for each and just hot glued the other half of the aileron in place made a hell of a difference to its handling...
 bigguyjt 8 points
Ditto, this is identical to the GWS Zero. Mine was a dream to fly though. I had a little screamers motor with a 3s 1320 and got 10min runtime!!! It also would hand launch with an underhand toss.
 fanny 511 points
lose wheels and Replace cowling with a similare size soft pastic container and provided you have plenty of hours on WW2 warbird this will be fantastic fun. entirely nutral with no forgiving stability what so ever this is an awsome plane

Cockpit attached with velcro?

Is EPS or EPO?
 neoprene 16 points
It's EPS!!
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Abdullah Mohsin 14 points
I have one similar...its EPO!!!! I know because they coming from same factory. Mine is Tian Sheng,s...same size and same aileron design with this. Except this one better finishing. Mine have problem which quite tail heavy but its easy to fly if perfectly setup.
 Robachan 1089 points
Look at the graphics below the description and above the yellow box "compare" and you'll see it says it's EPS. Wish they would include it in the description though.
 Abdullah Mohsin 14 points
It actually depend who manufacture it.Maybe the GWS is EPS but mine is Tian Sheng's which is same like this. Its EPO. EPO because I already have this. I just dont see description but I actually own one and flew it. Crash 8 times,. He is not stable. I cut the long aileron and add 2 servos to the wing because the long aileron make plane super sensitive. Cowling made of plastic, the weakest part. You can replace with coke 1.5 plastic bottle.

This is the Guanli EPS Zero. It is not EPO but looks and fly well. You will need lots of weight in the nose to get the CG correct. the suggested 2S will still leave it tail heavy, It will fly on 3S Use a big heavy battery that will squeez in the nose and add some weights in the cowl. Have fun.
 tommibarth 78 points
* RaptorFly, get some glasses buddy and stop making assumptions, this is epo, yes i agree it 'looks' like esp but they have painted it, Pays to read the description too if you didn't :P
 RaptorFly 219 points
tommibarth, I have this plane and flow it many times, and 20/20 vision. If you look it says EPS on the bottome of the screen.
 kalvin 122 points
tomminbarth, it says its EPS i think you need glasses
 tchez 110 points
tomminbarth, before you start bashing other people's comments you should read the description. It clearly states EPS. Maybe you should learn to read first.
 skafty 27 points
definately eps but it flies awsome , all guanli planes i have seen fly well even though they are cheap and nasty , but hey 50 bucks whos complainin
 gazza2009au 310 points
im not sure if guanli corrected the wing incidence problem? they basically copied GWS and had the same problem lol the plane would want to lift under full throttle
 Marcos 7 points
Hahahaha, tommibarth, this is the best way to seem stupid, correcting the right response of others, HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA...!!!
 redline 22 points
i have GWS Zero and the foam mold looks identical in shape and design. Cockpit velcro is the same. Even the wing mount looks very similar. The captive nut in the trailing edge part of the wing mount looks like its been strengthened though (weak spot in the GWS one)
 spitfire2010 640 points
Tommibath, you just got owned! Snap!
 oldtoys1961 12 points
If this is a Guanli, then why not get it from Nitro for $28????
 doctordoom 16 points
OK, just read EPS and EPO, are they different concerning the "strongness"? I would use this model for Combat
 ONESCOOTER 4 points
This plane kicks a** with a 3s 1300 shoved all the way to the front and park 480 / 30 amp esc just needing a small amount of weight up front for a cog of 50mm. Landing gear sucks though.
 Surgerypending 64 points
Any one know where the CG points are? It's not written in my manual anywhere. Thx

Saludos!!
