More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Suited to the following models: MIKADO LOGO600/600SE, HENSELEIT TDR, MA Furion 6
* The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. 1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly. Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries; -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
so i'm buying four of these running them two in series two in series then paralleling the two separate 72v packs to give me 10ah at 72v so i could ignore the balancing and whatnot except periodically and bulk charge these at 72v? is your config at 36v? also i'm using this on an electric cooler that has about $2,500 into it and over 100 hours of work into it I like that your using these on a mountain bike which means your probably prone to more abuse than my setup will be. Pics are in my profile thanks for any input. after going to the local rc store today i'm a bit nervous about using these in something i have so much time and money into i feel like i need to build the entire rear end out of something that's flame retardant now! Also anyone know if it would do any good to have some type of temperature monitor on the batteries themselves? like will there be a slow increase in temp if something were to happen?
Im a bit late to the party, but I wouldent recomend using LiPo's for your electric cooler project, your better off with NiCad or NiMhD as both are better suited for "deep cycle" applications better wheras LiPo is more suited for lotsa power really fast. If your project has the space your best bet would be a deep cycle marine battery as they are designed to be fully charged and discharged. Hope this helps!
yea wish i had the room but the motor in use is about the same as a lot of these r.c. applications however my batteries puffed almost immediately upon getting them i due to a bad charger also bought from hk, i didn't even fully discharge them once then recharged and then they poofed
Not a question, just an observation. I have been using 8 of these on an electric mountain bike for almost 2 years, 350 cycles in a 20s4p config. Hardly never need balance charging, generally charge at 20s with a 2kW BMS Battery Alloy shell bulk charger at 20 amps. Nearly always keep discharge down to max of 14 Ah out of 20
Planing on buying 4 of those big packs.
Is it possible to charge them as 10s4p (like one big pack 37V 20Ah) with iCharger 1010B ?
I will have 8 balance leads from those, do I just connect them in parallel into the charger?
:)
Add: this is for my Electric scooter, I really hope I can use them as 10s4p in it. What type of connectors should I use or should I just solder all of those together?
Thanks :)
You can charge them as 10s and use the hobby king battery medic to keep the cells in balance using the supplied connectors. My intent is to use 4 of the balancers and a simple power supply to charge a 10s2p pack. There's a good example of this on utube from trdfreak.
I regularly charge mine as 10s using an iChaarger 3010b...in fact I charge 8 packs at once as 10s8p with a 15 amp charge rate as that is the max my power supply can give at 38 volt input
I guess you could use 4 of these in a scooter or E-Bike. 37V Electric hub Motors are very common on ****. Some one buy 4 of these and wire up a 37V 20AH Pack!
Beware..
It is visible in the photo but I missed it. THIS IS NOT A 10S PACK...it is just two 5s packs in the same shrink wrap.
And buying two 5S packs is cheaper.
individual cel voltages all good when they arrived. I bought 8 of these.
1 pack had 2 cells 0.2 volts down , In all the other packs, all cels were within 0.02 volts

BEST BATTERY EVER !!!! We fly a modificated electro aircrane with big cameramount (Payload nearly 18 kg, flytime about 10 minutes, incredibly, have a look on: rc-aircam.ch) with 2 of this batteries. After 10 minutes the batteries have been cold/warm as starting. I think the best battery-solution on market!!

Great Battery!
Sebart SU-29 140.
Hacker A60-22S 70 amps draw with APC 20X10.
10 min mixed 3D and pattern flight comes down just warm. Took 2500Mah to charge. Excellent battery at 30 cost of the "name brand".
Why would I buy anything else ?

These batteries inflates all alone, just on the table! and lose their capacity.
My use is only a release from an average of 10C!
These batteries are not good

Graet battery!!! I fly with my 600size heli for 20minutes. The battery only becomes handwarm. I use several of these battery's over one year now and they are still performing great.
