Just purchased this esc before reading Duncans response. This esc is good for 11.5t motors and higher. I bought this esc with the 7.5t motor and cant use them together. Now I need to get the 80amp esc to run my 7.5t motor. Hope this helps.
I'm planning on buying 2 of these esc's. Are these programmable? ie. changing throttle curves, power curve etc.
I want to use one paired with either a 7.5 or 8.5 in a 4wd buggy and the other boosted in a 17.5 touring car.

Better use the Hobbyking X-CAR 80A Brushless ESC (sensored/sensorless) PRODUCT ID: 9351000024
This 45A version works with the HKSS programming card only. The 80A works with the USB adapter only. Use it with the the Hobbywing USB link software 3.4
I have both the 45A and 80A. The 45A has a strange behaviour, when I drive slowly uphill the car stops an will not respond to throttle anymore. I need to drive a little back reverse and its works again. I changed motor direction and re-calibrated. No change.
2 questions please.
I bought the x car combo. When I programme menu 6 throttle limit the values run 20 - 90% and 0% as the default. Does that mean when set to 0% I will get 100% throttle?
I connected the sensor cable and programmed the ESC should I leave the sensor cable attached or should I disconnect it. The instructions on both of these matters are vague.
Setting throttle limit to 0% will give 100% throttle. You can leave the sensor cable or disconnect it, depands you want to ride with sensored or sensorless mode. ESC will autodetect if cable is connected or not. If I helped, please click best answer
