Could someone tell me, what propeller to use for this engine D2830 11-1000kV Brushless my trainer weighs about 850 grams, and what battery should I use? one 2200 3s?
Can I use this prop as a pusher on the Bixler 2. The motor is the original one which is provided by HK when you buy a Bixler 2 glider. Again, does it fit the shaft provided?
After patiently waiting for these props to arrive, now that I have received them they are useless as they come. My problem is that while the adapter collar at the back of the prop fits the shaft (a Yak 54 ~900mm with 3 mm motor shaft) the front of the prop has a 8mm hole which to my mind is completely asinine. With such a big hole how can one ensure the prop aligns accurately with the shaft? As far as I have seen ALL the other props in HK's catalogue are designed like this. What am I missing? Am I supposed to buy an 8 mm OD adapter to fit that hole? I looked in the catalogue but couldn't find anything. Am I supposed to go to a hardware store?
Found a solution. 5mm Flyscreen mesh beading works! Cutting a small piece filled in the large hole - which is not as large as 8 mm - it is only about 6 mm. So the printed specs and what you actually find on the prop are different! Now I can give the Yak 54 a fly although I haven't found a suitable spinner. I think this whole propeller area of the catalogue is a mess!
not sure if i understand what you are asking, but these props work pretty well, and are arguable better than the GWS part. If you are calculating, you can use 0.7 or so for the propeller efficiency factor.
Yes! I've been using this propeller since November last year on a stock Cessna 182 and it flies very well on a 1300mah 3S battery for 12 minutes. Make sure to balance them coz we received few which are slightly off balance. A little sanding will do *-)
Also note that this is not exact fit on the motor shaft. You need to work a little to fix it nice and firm.
Yes, should not be a problem on 2 cells, but if using 3 cells, you should do a little 3min test hop to make sure the motor, batt, and esc are not getting too hot. It all really depends on what kv motor you are using.

The 182 page says it comes with an 8x6, although I bought another 8x6 prop which doesn't fit because the hub is too large.
I think this one will fit but it would be nice if someone had tried in already.
BTW the 182 page says it comes with a 1530kv motor (I haven't pulled mine apart to check yet..)

The prop comes with a label on one side and the size in inch and mm on the other side. 1- Which side to the front in standard setup 2- Which side to the front in pusher setup
Work well and very economical.They are not exact copies of the GWS slow-flyer props and do not have a recessed hub that will fit onto the rear nut of a threaded 3mm shaft. This will require an extra washer to back up the prop and a little ca to keep it from spinning on the shaft. The finish has a course sandblasted, matte feel. It may help laminar flow? they seem to be balanced and work well. Buy some now!

top props you cant go past them for park flyers and they even take a rought landing good gear and even the price is fair dinkim top stuff hk
