Does anyone know how the thickness of this fabric?
 Awni 164 points
the thickness is 0.2mm
 Calandrac 8 points
it's 160gr aprox. But is bad quality, not very good for laminate fuselage or light cowls, the tissue is very open.

On my micrometer, it says .24 MM

Can you make a off road car chassis off it
 Awni 164 points
Sure you can, but you need to know how to work with fiber glass, you will need the mold and glue, search youtube on how work with fiber glass.
 falconsamad 10 points
Yes man you can used this medium weight fiber glass cloth to built an off-road car chassis, but you have to used several layers of fiberglass and this depends upon the size of your car

Para cuando gramajes inferiores?menos de 120grM.
Y otros materiales?,por ejemplo fibra de carbono,kevlar.

Why when lower weights? Less than 120gsm .
What about other materials?, For example carbon fiber, Kevlar.

So it's a little more than half a yard in Imperial measurements. Decent price but still too heavy for My needs.

Which glue from HC can i use?
 karolpenconek 616 points
Any epoxy glue
 ergocentric 137 points
Glass fibre needs a special coating for epoxy to stick, polyester resin is better
 MarkD 211 points
Very wrong Ergocentric, epoxy does not neeed a special coating to work on glass. Polyester resin is the cheap stuff and if an orginal lamination was done with polyester it takes a very good adhesive and a roughing up to get it to stick mostly because most polyester resins have a wax added to help them cure.
 FlyingMonkey 2306 points
So actually I can use the 30 minute Epoxy Glue www.link from Hobbycity, can't I?
 MarkD 211 points
Yes you can. For reinforcing it should be fine, it the epoxy is too viscous thin it with a small amount of denatured or 90% isopropyl alcohol
 rwallage 95 points
I have used thick & thin CA to re-enforce balsa (elevators, ailerons, and bell-cranks) with great success.
 Eric1180 2278 points
Epoxy is fine for smaller stuff. But it is much more expensive to do larger things

How many gr/m2 are this fiber glass?

Bring this caind of materials, its a very good idea. I hope in future, HK, has more type of fiber glass clothes and more of other tipes, like carbon, keblar or hibrid carbon-keblar clothes.

Regards.
 adrenalin 74 points
its a 1/2 m2 with 150g ... can be 200-250g/m2
120 g would be better
 VinCopter 99 points
It would be good info to include the weight. Even better if HK can include other weight GF clothe, other materials (CF, Kevlar) are also welcome,

6 thumbs up!
This cloth weighs in at 135g, which would make it 270g/m2 or about 8.8oz/yard. Edges were quite frayed.

2 thumbs up!
This fiber cloth is quite thick and would best be used for areas that requires more reinforcement, eg firewall and bottom of fuse. I would not use it on wings.
