I haven't seen any other connectors hobby king sells besides the ones which come with the batteries

I purchased this battery recently from HobbyKing and it came with HXT 3.5mm connectors. I'm using ESCs with dean ultra connectors on them. Does hobbyking sell adapters that I can use instead of having to cut and solder connectors?

Thanks
   davi (28%)
YOU CAN BUILD UP AN EXTENSION USING THE DEANS TWO WIRES AND THE HTX(BE CAREFUL WITH THE WIRE COLORS TO AVOID SHORTS).... BUT IF I WERE YOU I'D CHANGE THE DEANS FOR THE HTX, THE RED ONES* THEY'RE CHEAP AND GREAT TO USE.
   elcan (12%)
It's not good to add adapters, as you will be adding another point of failure to the electric system, the best choice is to cut and solder...it's slower but will guarantee that the connection is solid...

well ive bought 6 zippy and 2 turnigy. All the zippys worked great. One of the turnigy's had a bad. So for me zippy wins. But will give turnigy a few more tries with cheeper batteries.
   elcan (12%)
I bought a zippy 2650mAh 40C 2S and was faulty...so they are the same...actually most 40C from zippy are having some problems...HK should check that...

Which lipo brand is better: Turnigy or Zippy Flightmax? Could someone give a tip please?

Thanks!
   K W (44%)
I got some Zippies about DEC 2008, and they are still doing great. Since, I've tried some Turnigy 1300, and haven't had good luck. Some have puffed, and one came with a dead cell. For me, I will be ordering Zippies in the near future.

It is hard to say... I think those makers are same... So Price is most important thing to customers.
   elcan (12%)
They are all made by the same factory, so I guess they are the same cell, just with different marketing positioning...

Has anyone used these in a HoneyBee King 2 heli.
I have read reviews on the Flightmax 1300 being used (FM1300 is OK and getting about 10mins flight time) and wonder if this TGY1.3 battery is better or not ? As this is a cheaper battery.
   Saurabh (98%)
it will work with HB. i am using this. In hover, it will give you 12 mins of flight time.

can i use in transmitters?
   kwon sohn (31%)
Mmmmm. Most important thing is size of battery pack. I think that this battery size cannot meet the transmitters space...
   Saurabh (98%)
yes. u can. but its advisable to use low discharge batteries with tx as it does not require high discharge rate batteries.
   elcan (12%)
This lipo is a bit short and thick, not sure if this one will fit your transmitter, but if you can make it fit, change the connector and solder the one that your transmitter uses...surelly you can use this lipo, it won't burn your tx...

Can I use my FMA cellpro 4 multichem charger on this baterry?????
   elcan (12%)
If the charger can charge lipos, you can use it, check if cellpro has the same charge male plug as the battery has, if they match, you can surelly charge the battery...

are these really 21mm thick? I would like to use them for my xpd-81 EDF. If it is really 21mm thick, these would fit great. Could someone measure for me? thanks.
   néoto (74%)
Yes, really 21 mm :-(

Big for a Swift II for exemple...
   parkfly27 (55%)
thanks. Sorry that is too thick to work for your plane :-( The 1000mah 25C 3S is a bit thinner, maybe that will work better for you.

Why do they hide the discharge plug?! They hide it and dont write neither. Is there anything to hide about the battery? I think HK should show the product exactly how it is, with minimum details, including plugs.
   lyclyc (59%)
long story cut short, the dean plug was some one else's copyright and they stop HK for selling dean.
   elcan (12%)
They hide the discharge? I see the plug...the yellow thing on the right side...

néoto (74%)
No, the connector is a "EC3", PK 3.5 mm *)

But that's a good lipo for my Swift 2.
   elder (71%)
You mean the bullet connector 4mm?
   néoto (74%)
No no, the connector on the lipo is a "EC3", do you know ?

EC3 = Pk3.5 mm (But, EC3 is with a blue protection).

PK 3.5 mm on Hobby King :

EC3 3.5 mm :

***********unitedhobbies****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=7182&Product_Name=EC3_plugs_(pair)

Sorry for my English :-(
