Important. The TURNIGY 9X has been reflashed with the new v2 firmware, fixing previous menu and mixing issues. This firmware flash is only available from our TURNIGY 9X system as we flash each unit in our office before it is shipped. Purchases of any other rebranded version of the TURNIGY 9X will not have the latest firmware and patches(even the OEM factory does not have these updates).
NOTE: "SWITCH ERROR" means you have one of the switches in the wrong position when you turn the radio on. It is not a fault.
One part of this site says these are back ordered, one part says they're in stock. I just received on that's broken and I have an RMA - going out tomorrow, can anyone tell me how long to exchange this. or should I order something else?
I purchased this radio and my quadcopter will randomly lose signal and fall out of the sky. I am not flying further than 20 yards when this happens. When I received the unit the heat shrink was kinked so I cut it off and straightened the antenna on the receiver. Is anyone else experiencing momentary control drop outs? My video screen does not go down when it happens so I can safely rule out a power malfunction. I am afraid to really fly until I get it fixed...
i bought this transmitter ..........to be frank so disappointed with it that it feels like waste of money ....there is no HOBBYKING SUPPORT IN TROUBLE SHOOTIN IT .......with all the connection done properly I still UNABLE TO arm my kk koard for my tricopter n quadcopter. DEAR HOBBY KING CAN U PLZ LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND PUBLISH A GUIDE OR VIDEO ON HOW TO ARM KK BOARD WITH THIS TX (A STEP BY STEP GUIDE ).
PS- IF CANT HELP ON THIS THEN PLZ STOP SELLING THIS PIECE OF ****...CHEERS
Winnie I am so sorry. Here Members help Members. The first thing you need to do with your Turnigy9XV2, before you connect it to your KK board, is TEST your Rc System first. You must go from a known to unknown. KK Flight Control Boards (FCB) are a little tricky if you know how to use your Rc System but if you have not even use the Rc System, it is no wonder you are tearing your hair out. So get a servo and test your Turnigy9XV2 first. (You may need to bind). You do need to set it to Acro (Plane) mode, not heli, mode. Now go to You Tubes, for a tone of videos on any item, about this Rc System or your FCB. Lastly I have a simple, colour manual, I can send you. Just PM me in the Members Forum.
I bought this to supersede the HK-T4A transmitter. It comes as a bare transmitter - no batteries, no charger, no instruction manual, and no module (not even 72MHz). This is all OK, as I only use Lipo batteries, hate the cheap transmitter chargers, and ordered an Assan 2.4GHz JR-type module along with the order. Hobby King were up-front with all of this from the start, except the lack of a manual. The manual is available online, as the IMax 9, and the lack of a manual saved me further shipping dollars - a big factor in ordering something cheap.
The good news, it's not a cheap-feeling radio. The gymbals are really smooth, almost to the same standard as my Futaba 9C. Even the throttle ratchet is quite smooth, which is essential for heli flying. The case is plastic, but it feels nice in my hands.
Control with the Assan module was absolutely locked in. The availability of exponential restored my Shocky back to the smooth flying wonder I had originally built (with the HK-T4A I could not get it to fly smooth - I've become addicted to expo). The precision was also really noticable as I fed in gentle "tickles" on the sticks. Outstanding!
The misses (deduct one star): IF YOU USE EXPO YOU CANNOT USE DUAL RATES!!!! Even 1pcnt of expo disengages any dual-rate settings, even though the rate settings are still there on the screen. I was initially really disappointed about this, until I realised that I hardly ever use dual rates. If you depend on dual rates, this is a FATAL

This 9 Channel Transmitter is excellent, I am using this unit with the FRFRY 2.4Ghz module (JR compatible) and it work smoothly, I prefer the FRFRY over the Corona because the FRFRY is a TRUE Frequency Hopping system (very much like the FUTABA FAST) and is smoother on the servos, Also tested the Dual Rate and Expo and contrary to some reviews in my case work perfectly, remember to channel one at the time (expo or dual rate) and get out of the me
