Hobbyking is constantly raising prices of their products.. I can remember google ads advertising this battery for $7.29 just some months before

Market law, cruel world.

I can't even order batteries - Apparently there are new shipping restrictions that HobbyKing has been keeping quiet - nice one guys!

hya peeps iv recently bought a bsd flux assault 1/9 th scale brushless buggy ,peromance wasnt as good as expected so started using tamco lippo 3800 mah 7.4 v 30 to 50c burst ,it is a bit faster just wondering if i can improve the speed any more , many thanks
 Rick3r 27 points
What speed controller/motor are you using, bear in mind this battery can only put out 44a constant or 66a burst, the one you've started using can produce 114ish amp constant and 190 burst so the battery might be able produce enough current to give you the oomph your looking for
 Napstr 1248 points
This being a 3s (11.1 volt as opposed to 7.4 volt 2s) would give more speed as the voltage is a lot higher if the constant Amp draw was within the maximum constant (less than 40 Amp) and the ESC and motor could handle the additional voltage. You will notice the extra voltage is a more efficient way of gaining speed but to make any change you will need to know your draw and buy a battery able to deliver at least that - all batteries will deliver better power if running below their limits so it pays to have at least 10% headroom in your batteries constant discharge rating above the maximum draw of your system i.e. the maximum ESC system rating for this battery is 40 amp.

i have a 30 amp esc what size and c rating should i get
 Miguel FP 1813 points
What is important is the voltage that your esc can manage, so: 12V (3S), 15V (4S), and so on. The amps is the max amount than can be drawn from the motor, look for motor specs to know how much it is, esc must have a 25% safety margin. The C raitng is max amp than can be safely continuosly discharged from a lipo, theoretically, the bigger the better.
 Napstr 1248 points
the 30 amp max on your esc means you want a battery capable of delivering at least 10% more continuously than the 30 Amp (33Amp in this case) to do this you will need at least a 1650mAh 20C battery or 1100mAh 30 C battery or 850mAh 40C battery - you decide on the best size and weight to fit your model and flying style and how long you want to fly and set the voltage by what your motor and ESC can handle and again how much power you want - more voltage gives higher power.

To put this simply as I can, take the "C" rating and multiply it by the milliamps. In other words : 2,200 mah 30C battery = 2.2 x 30c = 66amp ESC is will power max sustained anyway. Hope this helps guys

What kind of charger would I use for this battery?? Do you recomend this kind of batery for a quadcopter with 4 10A motors??
 Napstr 1248 points
I personally use the Hobbyking Eco-6 charger - it is cheap and has a lot of functions and is perfect for this battery. This battery would be ideal for the Quadcopter you are talking about as your maximum draw is within the specs for this battery (4x10A = 40A max draw - 20C 2200mAh battery = 20x2.2 = 44A maximum continuous draw)
 Rick3r 27 points
I use the basic turnigy charger - PRODUCT ID: Turnigy-3S it's fantastic as I have to take the car to any where to go fly and its charges both 2 and 3 s so I can charge my car or quad batters, and it's so simple green light on means charging off means fully charged and blinking green means battery's getting low at for $5

Will a battery of this size fit on a Dromida Onmious?
 Joe 1 points
Rich, I think this battery would be too big for Dromida. That takes a 1S 3.7V 700mAh and they are thinner than the Turnigy 2200mAh 3S. Good luck.

performed well but did see and difference with the zippy 2200 30c, Zippy dose put out much more power than these ones but it works well for foam parkflyers, i use oem in my parkzone t-28 and gives moderate power.but cant beat the price wow. This is the battery i like to loan out cause it cheap dont mind if someone crashes the battery and these do not like crashes. so put some inpact foam around them or string tape for the ground maganet pilots.
