hey i will tell you what i put in my nqd jet boat. one i put this motor, Turnigy Marine 120A Brushless Boat ESC,HXT500 6.2g / 0.6kg / .08sec Micro Servo, and lastly,HobbyKing®* ™*HK-GT2B 3CH 2.4GHz Transmitter and Receiver w/Rechargable Li-ion Battery. it did work but i did something to the receiver and it fried. i have a new one on the way and a new battery that i hope fits into a switch i have. here is the battery, Rhino 1750mAh 2S 7.4v 20C Lipoly Pack (AR Warehouse). when i get it in the boat and test it all i can show you all. :)
I put it in a redbird hull from H&M with 2S LiFe and it go very fast. With a 2 lipo it can go more than 50 km/h ! The cooling is very effective an with a k29 the motor is cold. I have more than 10 min of run with 2300 LiFe.
Wow, this is the most ideal motor for a nice micro boat build!
I tested this with 7.4v 1800 mah lipos and a 25 amp speed control and it rocked! super fast and consistand power.
I got 50 watts at 8.2 amps and lots of thrust.
The motor got a bit warm with the 30mm prop and 6 cells but with 27mm and 3 lipoly, it should run cooler and higher RMP at the motor shaft.
Lots of applications for this motor at this price.
The runs really smooth.
I highly recommend this motor for weight saving and very good power to weight ratio output.

1 thumbs up!
I put one of these motors in my NQD jet boat with a 60A esc, I cant say enough about this little motor, it makes my little jet boat fly! even on a 8.4V nimh. I thought the 60A esc was a bit much for what im doing so i bought a turnigy 35A marine esc. I recommend this motor to anyone who has a small boat. Thanks hobbyking for the low prices.
