Anyone know what thread it is for the bolts? I'd like to replace them with set screws and not the stupid star heads that strip so easily.
 r_g_r 1123 points
I've never stripped one. They are good quality. If you use the right screw driver you will not strip them. Besides that both the bolt that goes through the servo horn as well as the screw that fixes the rod have the same diameter. Which is 1.8mm.
RC Flyer Guy  125 points - 12/23/2012

Is the 1.8mm for the part that the control rod goes in to, or where this goes into the servo arm hole?
 ElectricAussie 2776 points
Hi RCFG, The threaded stud that goes into the servo arm or control horn is 1.8mm dia. The hole the control rod passes thru is slightly smaller, maybe 1.5mm. Cheers, EA!

Does this rotate freely in the servo arm hole, or does the upper section rotate freely while the lower post locks onto the servo arm?
 pastoreli 231 points
It should run free on the servo arm

the threaded end gos through the servo arm hole then the nut on the post. The thread dose not go all the way up the post .i use a dab of locktight on the thread when screwing on the nut.nicely made.
 waterlogged 2465 points
It will only rotate freely if used with thin horns. I fitted one last weekend but used it on a Pom system and it was too thick so the whole thing tightened up. I fixed it by filing away the surface untill there was enough freeplay to allow it to rotate. A tip, don't use a washer between the horn and the stopper or the nut and the stopperunless there's enough room for it all to move. Use Loctite on the nut and tighten really tight. I've useda tiny drop of Gorilla Glue when I was out of loctite an
 psguardian 33 points
These will be going on 10-15gr servos so I think the horns will be thin enough. If not, did you shave the underside of the clamp or the servo arm?
 waterlogged 2465 points
No I was using them on the horn itself. I use the Z bend on the servo end and the linkage stopper on the horn. With the Pom Horns I did have to file a little down each side as they are really built to take punishment and have plenty of meat to hang on to. I've had enough of horns or servo arms snapping off on belly landers so I also use the skid pads to protect them.
 solentlife 117 points
I use a tapered reamer to enlarge arm hole so that threaded part passes through ... nut is then Loctite to correct depth to allow stopper to turn in relation to rod angle. No need to thin arm or play other. These are excellent to replace those impossible to find 1mm threaded clevis that models come with but cannot be replaced when broken.

no, it does not come with washers included.
 sarven 42 points
Unfortunately no. I'm buying washers seperately.
 Lamborgotti 42 points
who needs washers for these anyways

Whats the difference between these and the one with product-ID: OR016-502x10 ? Thanks for answer.
 Andriy 102 points
in fact, they are similar. Only in the first embodiment attached to the servo using the screws in the second bolt, and the stopper in the first version of the bolt and the second Grub Screw

Can this fit on the HXT900 servo arm holes?
 jonasmuex 55 points
No, you will have to enlarge the hole using a hobby knife or such, then it should fit properly.
 MarceloMMY 93 points
Its very easy to enlarge servo arm. I use this stopper a long time with this servo. You can buy without fear. Be happy , good flies.
 Rothmans 1377 points
You have to enlarge the servo am to 2mm for tight the linkage.
 yuri zagonel 6 points
use o ferro de solda com cautela no furo para aumentalo!!bom vooo!!
 louigi600 218 points
No, you have 2 options to make them fit: drill the holes on the servo arm with a 1.5 mm tip, grind the linkage stopper bolt down so tha it fits in the original servo arm holes and then use shrink tube (or some other means) to prevent it from popping out of the hole.

will .055 music wire fit in this? i am using it for my control rods
 Uberfest 31 points
não sei responder ....
 lechat 33 points
0.055 it's very thin. I'm afraid it will be not enough reliable for models more than 100-150 flying weight. pls try to find at least 0.5mm diameter string.
 Such Is Life 162 points
Yes, it will fit fine. 0.55 inches = 1.397 mm
 Emil 3 points
nope won't work. only use 1.2 - 1.5
 Gary Toh 31 points
It can be use up to 0.8mm Diameter control rod
 jonasmuex 55 points
Yes it will fit. The screw that holds your control rod will be able to screw tight all the way in and should work for any diameter of control rods less than 1.8mm in diameter. I'm currently using 1mm music wire and it is perfect.

will these work with the hxt900 9 gram servo?
 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
Yes, these too. You will need to slightly enlarge the hole in the servo arm. Alternatively, these stoppers can be attached to your control horn enabling you to adjust from the control surface. A z-bend can be made to fit to the servo. Either way is fine. Adjustment is really precise with this stopper as well. It's a fraction lighter.

the hole is 1.5 mm, for carbon rod lower than 1.5
 simdaddy 75 points
quite versatile , can be used almost anywhere...just use a hand drill.
 Terrence 11 points
Yes but the servo arm will need to be drilled out a bit.

Can someone confirm the dimensions of this linkage stopper, as usual HK haven't bothered to put any useful information against the product. Need the Push Rod Diameter size (MAX) and the Servo Diameter size please.
 klemen7 12 points
pushrod max diameter 1.2mm, servo diameter 1.5mm
 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
These are great little accessories. You will find that the fitting is machined for a 1.8 mm max push rod diameter.
As for your servo question, what are you asking? If you are concerned about your servo arm holes, don't be concerned. Just drill 'em out slightly oversize and you'll be fine. Don't forget threadlocker or CA.
 panda11 5 points
Diameter for Push Rod 1,5mm-(MAX), for Servo-2mm.

still confused. 1.2mm for push rods and 1.8mm for the servo arm? or otherwise around?
why isn't that stated in product specs?
 klemen7 12 points
1.2mm for push rod and 1.8mm for servo arm.

There is a misinformation. D1.8mm refers to diameter of mount hole. You have to use servo arms which are D1.2mm or lower. It seems good but i have already bought servo arms which i can not use with...

These are the best thing for finely adjusting servo movements, no more z-bends on servo arms. Just make sure you do them up tight, and be careful if you are using lock-tite that you don't get any in the hole in the servo arm or you'll have a stuck system and a burnt out servo (trust me)!

These little gems are the best to use for foamies with small linkage wires. They can be used on either ends of the linkage. Do not forget the threadlock.
