Hey HK, when is this going to be back in stock? Every time I ask you tell me there's no definite day yet the description says "available 30 days". Can you tell me if these are discontinued so I can order something else? I'm staying away from the equivalent Turnigy's for now because of the reviews saying they received bad cells.

The lable on the back of the Lightmax 2200 25c battery pack discribes Max charge as 1c. The discription on the page for ordering this pack describes the max charge as 2c. Which is correct?
   ShadowCaster (18%)
You can change them on 2C with no problems i have done it many times when i am on the field and i am on a hurry...
   RedLine_24_12 (53%)
every battery has to be charged at 1C .. charging over 1C will reduce your battery's life (but it's not dangerous to charge at 2C .. your battery simply will have less charging cycles and last less).. however if you want to charge over 1C you should use the balanced charge of your charger (even if the cells are balanced)
   Andreas (52%)
I always charge it with 2C. No problems on that...
   sellman (64%)
better charge at 1c regardless of what the labels of each battery says, you reduce risk of fire and accomplish longer charge cycles of your battery.
   Certifier (50%)
1C is correct to protect the battery.
   ShadowCaster (18%)
I charge them at 2c without problems on the field but at home i prefer 1c.
   miszcz_waw (67%)
Was charching with 2C mine and only 50% of packs survive few charges therefore 1C is correct.
   experienced (10%)
if you have enough time charge in 1c
if you want to charde fast you can use 2c ( not recomended )
   Alex (53%)
you should be charging this battery at 1C no higher
   Pitufo (25%)
The label of the back of mine's (different dates) says never charge above 2C. I really never charged them above 1C.
   TieffliegerRudi (77%)
Bei mir steht auf beiden(2) Akkus auf der Rueckseite laden mit Max 2C
   rubenmoniz (64%)
both are, you should charge at 1c to ensure your battery life is nor shortened, so they recommend 1c charging but also say that you should never go past 2c meaning that if you are in a hurry you can charge at more than 1c without any damage to the battery although the life span of the battery is bound to be shorter the faster you charge it
   chiroman21 (7%)
Yours came with a label on the back? Now I am nervous I have been slowly ruining my batteries.
   gideon9272 (29%)
This can be safely charged in 1C. Charging it at 2C, you should get a good charger or if with time constraints, be sure to put the lipo in a safe bag. Just to be sure.
   dhtfhftghf (29%)
you can charge them at 2c I do it every time

Can anyone tell me if the Zippy 2200mAh 3S1P LIPO battery will fit into a Twister Storm 3D heli? I believe the battery has been used in a Blade 400 heli which theoetically is the same mechanically as a Twister Storm 3D, but I would like confirmation before I buy the battery. The critical dimension is B (height) which for the battery is quoted as 36mm. The heli battery compartment is exactly 36mm and this leaves no room for error!RPL

Yesyns (24%)
Can this battery 25C be use on Any ESC with 30A or below 30A?
   YursTruly (62%)
Yes you can... when it comes to battery and esc selection, always buy higher constant amps on batteries than the rated esc.. it will keep ur battery much cooler and last longer
   spinell (-100%)
2200mah 25c = 55 Amps Constant. this means you need a 60A. ESC if your motor works with these Amps, but if it works at 30A, you will need only a 30A Speed Controller.
   Certifier (50%)
If it has lipo-cutoff, then yes.
   ShadowCaster (18%)
Nobody can answer this question without specifying the motor on the esc,e.g. you can use this battery on a 3s 5A esc if the motor draw >=5A, or you can burn a 40A esc if your motor draws 50 - 60 amps... The battery is capable of giving you max 25 * 2.2A = 55A so the motor is the one that defines the esc.
   Michel (20%)
You can use it. The real question is how much amps your power system is drawing from a 3s battery.
If it draws more than what your esc is able to stand, th battery will supply the power and the esc will fry.
   ALCARAFA (75%)
sure you can
   Invell (-11%)
Nothing to do with the battery. 30A is 30A. It depends on motor an prop.
   Zaloha (50%)
You can use it, but you must use some motor up to 400W.
   Peruzzo (58%)
Ottime batterie per rapporto qualit/prezzo. Alta capacit di scarica e ottime per ogni esigenza aeromodellistica.
   Martin (34%)
You can use it on any ESC regardles of it's amper rating. 25C only says this battery is able to deliver continuously 2,2*25 = 55A. But drawn current is influenced by needs of your motor. Only problem can happen when you have motor which needs continuously more than 55A, then this battery won't be able to deliver it and you will destroy battery (if you have ESC with more than 55A) or ESC (if you have ESC with less than 55A)

I just got 4 of these and they had the ****py Deans connector on them. I thought they had stopped using Deans? I'm using the superior EC3 connectors or on large batteries the red Flightmax 4mm bullet connectors (handles more juice :) )

Batteries seem good, but the product page here says they can be charged at 2C, yet the small sticker on the reverse of the pack says max 1C.

Which is it?

ya how maney ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 25C Batteries HC restock is ?

i hope its more then 500.

kstmark (79%)
HC should be more accurate on delivery date. The late March changed on late mid April!!! 1 month difference from the initial date is much more than big. We believe that it should great product but we've paid 1 month ago and they'll be in stock after 1 month...
   slumberjer (90%)
backorder -524..ugh..unless HC restock like 1000 units..no where on earth I can have this.. lipo..huhu

hisky3D (62%)
i have it order just want to know how long. Thanks

James (75%)

Hisky, if you want to know when stock will be in, get notified by email from hc.

Just click on the 'New Stock Alert' button.
   BPGoa (98%)
thats of no use... that just tells us when it's in stock.... what we want to know is a firm date of when it is expected... that will allow us to make an informed descision on to order or not.
    James (75%)

You can't expect hc to be 'godlike'. There are many factors affecting the release date of an item or re-stock - production delays, shipping delays, natural disasters, delays from the distributor, product recalls, product modifications etc, etc...

It's pretty unrealistic to get a firm date. And plus, you say "firm date of when it is expected" then expectation isn't a 'firm' is it?

All I can suggest is, order the stuff and just sit back and relax...because if you don't order, someone else will and it could be out-of-stock again until the next shipment - which means more waiting and waiting...

EnGiNeeReD (64%)
which one is better, battery 55A with esc 55A or battery 45A with esc 55A?for the time being, just normal flying.
   Vow7 (43%)
If you can afford the 55A battery (both $$ and weight in the model) then that is the better option as it will not work as hard to deliver current as the 45A battery would.
   YursTruly (62%)
be forwarned: never a good idea to have an underpowered battery amps (battery 45a) with an esc 55a.. if ur set up plane or heli really used a 55A, it will kill ur battery sooner or later.. and remember this is lipo, if it overheat it might explode also>>> heat kills battery and explosion possible.. always remember that.. make sure the battery amp is always higher than the rated esc amps to be in the safe side.. hope this help...

Snare_TS (39%)
Thanks! Helped a lot

Continuous discharge: 55A
burst/peak current: 77A

Snare_TS (39%)
What's the amp rating for this battery?
   joemanner (84%)
Hello Tiago

You can easily calculate it by your own.

The Spec. says:
Discharge: 25C Constant / 35C Burst
this is the calculation: 25 times the capacity / 35 times the capacity
Regards, Joe
