Me ha defraudado totalmente. Tiene muchisima holgura y "rebota" al finalizar el movimiento. NO sirve para nada...

Hello Experts I have bought 3 of these servo but not able to make it run properly. i am using AA batteries and total voltage passed is 6.36v but still servo runs only few degrees and stop. I have coded for 180 degrees to and fro and using arduino 2560.My other small servo works properly for same connection and code .Whether I am missing something here ? whether it requires UBEC as mandatory itemPlease help ?

what's the rotational range of these and how do I know how many volts will be going into these servos- will be using in a pan tilt FPV antenna tracker - the ground station (the servos connect to) will be running off of a 3S lipo? thanks in advance
 Andrey 1 points
The servo-driver rotates on 90 degrees. By completion it is possible to achieve and 180 degrees. Use BEC at a feed(meal) from 3S.

I am making a gas car, it has a 5hp engine and i need a steering servo, it will be an offroading car so would 2 of these suffice?
 Anden86 63 points
i use one of this in my FG monster beetle, works great. But maby you want a metal geared servo instead!
 codymann 14 points
how big was your beetle?
 BuLLsNaKe 1309 points
this is strong servo you have 5 hp engine is strong too , i think it is useful for you.

Are there replacement metal gears for this servo? and would other arms (HiTec...Futaba or any other) work with the spline of this servo?
Thanks in advance
 karolpenconek 616 points
No, there no replacement metal gear for this servo. Hitec arms do not work with this servo, i don't know what about Futaba arms.
 David 1 points
I have both the 9805MG which has metal gears and ball bearings, and the 9805BB. The horns are the same for both and they fit my Hitec805 and the Hitec805 horns fit the 9805.

Hi.
Just wondering if the Towerpro 9805BB servo is able to be modified for 360 degree rotation?

Any help appreciated
 allen 1 points
i think it could be. watch videos on youtube, it could help you on your modification. we've modified a tower pro before, but not the 9805BB, the smaller one.
 David 1 points
It is easy to modify, Remove the main gear, it pulls off, Cut off the nib on the main shaft, remove the pot drive underneath and re-assemble.

these are digital servos? or analogue servos? thanks.
 karolpenconek 616 points
i think it's analogue servo
 David 1 points
The electronics have a microprocessor so they are digital. But they are not programmable (AFAIK). They act just like analog servos except only rotate just under 180deg. Beyond that the pulse is ignored and the servo stops being driven.
 Tiago123 9 points
so, can I use this with a digital receiver?
Eric1180  2278 points - 3/8/2010

has any one used this servo... I am curious how strong it really is.
 allen 1 points
we are planning on using this for our thesis. i think it's pretty strong knowing it could take 20kg. its a superb servo for high torque projects i think.
 David 1 points
My large 3 foot high (91cm) biped Strider uses two of these plus an 805. They are www.link down side is they are digital so they only rotate just under 180deg, beyond that the pulse is ignored.

Is this a 20kg or 10kg?????
 pudytat 1341 points
Read the specs, it is a 20kg....
 Crashtruk 411 points
What rudytat meant to say is " It's a 20 kg servo Sir"

3 thumbs up!
This servo seems similar to the hitec 805. It would be a good servo if it is the same specs.
