Hello Experts I have bought 3 of these servo but not able to make it run properly. i am using AA batteries and total voltage passed is 6.36v but still servo runs only few degrees and stop. I have coded for 180 degrees to and fro and using arduino 2560.My other small servo works properly for same connection and code .Whether I am missing something here ? whether it requires UBEC as mandatory itemPlease help ?

what's the rotational range of these and how do I know how many volts will be going into these servos- will be using in a pan tilt FPV antenna tracker - the ground station (the servos connect to) will be running off of a 3S lipo? thanks in advance
Are there replacement metal gears for this servo? and would other arms (HiTec...Futaba or any other) work with the spline of this servo? Thanks in advance
I have both the 9805MG which has metal gears and ball bearings, and the 9805BB. The horns are the same for both and they fit my Hitec805 and the Hitec805 horns fit the 9805.
i think it could be. watch videos on youtube, it could help you on your modification. we've modified a tower pro before, but not the 9805BB, the smaller one.
The electronics have a microprocessor so they are digital. But they are not programmable (AFAIK). They act just like analog servos except only rotate just under 180deg. Beyond that the pulse is ignored and the servo stops being driven.
we are planning on using this for our thesis. i think it's pretty strong knowing it could take 20kg. its a superb servo for high torque projects i think.
My large 3 foot high (91cm) biped Strider uses two of these plus an 805. They are www.link down side is they are digital so they only rotate just under 180deg, beyond that the pulse is ignored.
