This is cheap and very good PRODUCT ID: Turnigy-3S. You can connect it to your car battery.
If you need to charge lipo at home take this power supply too PRODUCT ID: IMAX-401
Or this one if you don't want to buy the power supply PRODUCT ID: TGY-3
Sorry guys. The TR-5011 is almoast half the price and unles you are from usa the charger cord is useless in TGY-3.
When using TR-5011 you can use usually already present powersupply's that are prowen so you can use them no metter whar kind of power "dose" is used in your country
For some reason when pasting direct links in they get truncated so you have to search for them. The cheapest chargers are the "Turnigy balancer & Charger 2S-3S" and " Turnigy 5011 Balance/Charger". I have some similar to this from E-flight that work good. There are also some inexpensive chargers like the Eco6 that are nice. You will need a Power Supply for all of these. For the small ones first mentioned the little wall wart power supplies work well, they only need 12V DC and about 1.5 amps
Buy an Hitec X4 AC PLUS.It has two fans for heavy charging. You will be glad you did. It will charge 4 different batteries at the same time. You can charge in the house off of regular house current or out in the field off your car.I prefer at the house because Hobby King makes buying batteries reasonable.Who wants to charge batteries when you can fly.But if you have to just do it off your car battery. I bought all my balance boards off of Hobby King.
since this battery come with E3C, I tried to change to 4mm. However, I got a small spark(short plus and negative) while I clip it off. After connector changed, charging is going well upto 12.4v, but it can not discharge when hook to ESC, ESC no response, receiver no response. Anyone has idea how it might be, or need some procedures to reset?
never cut the power leads together with a metal cutter..short circuit the Lipos and they can burst into flame!! as long as you got lucky and didnt blow it up it should work fine. its not the battery (assuming the pos and neg are correct on the new connector you installed) it should still discharge fine, must be your ESC. roger
You are a bad man, insurance agencies should avoid you at all cost! .... Most likely you broke a solder joint inside the battery when you shorted it... Elseif, your ESC is a disgrace.
I find this packs amazing i have 3 of this packs for more than 6 months now the capacity have not decline i have even overdischarge on of my packs i thought is done to my surprise it still works nperfectly after i balance charge it.
I had charged my Rhino 1050mah 2S 7.4v 20C Lipo for the first time and it worked fine. After discharging, I tried to charge this battery for the second time, all the GREEN LED glows in the charger immedietly I plug the battery to the charger showing that the battery is fully charged. But after charging for over 2 hrs, the voltage in the battery shows only 1.4V. Any idea what is going around?
You fed up big time... Foo the battery cells can't go below 2.5 volts if it does your battery is as good as lithium s****! It's beyond resurrection foooooo!
Never charge more then what the battery calls for. A 2150 needs to charged at 2100 if your charger dose not have the ability to charge at 2150 . NEVER charge more then the 1C of the battery.
Newer lipo supposedly can take 2C w/o problem. I use a CellPro4S whose manual say 2C is fine but I still use 1C just in case. Now if I were at the field or in a hurry, I might try 2C.
Overheating ESC is caused by too much current pulled by the motor, not Lipo. Lipo also suffer if motor pulls more current than lipo can put out fast enough. That's the purpose of the C rating...as in 20C, 25C, etc... Multiply C rating by voltage to get max amps that particular lipo can put out, else lipo will be destroyed.
This is WRONG info!!! Multiply the C rating by the capacity (not the voltage). eg, 2150ahr x 20C = 43Amp. (In your example the current would be 222amps! and this is bad)
Can someone tell me for sure, are these Chinese cells or Korean cells? Is this just a relabled Zippy battery? I just order 2 and would like to know that they won't be like my 2 ABF (puffed after 10 cycles).
Not the best lipo I had. Not full capacity from the begining.....

34 thumbs up!
Bought two of these batteries. One still works fairly well after 5 cycles (not including the break in).The second one completely died after the 5th charge. I'm using a Super Brain 989 charger. Hard to rate this battery because of 50pcnt failure rate, so I'm giving it 3 stars.
