whould these fit in side the bixler 2 carbon rod
 Reid 29 points
yes they fit, but not very tight. Use gorilla glue very liberally to glue this inside the rod. Mine is 3x stronger

I am looking for carbon rod in this dimension (a bit bigger is ok) but I need 40 inch long or more (100cm) HK suggested I post here to find a source for them ... any ideas? ... I will also need tubing(sleeve) to run these rods to and from the servos and control horns. Thx ! a.

"Hobby & Engineering Supplies" sells carbon fiber tubes and rods of all diameters in 100 cm lengths, and their in aus good for me, hope this helped

Would be a great item, but the shipping is unreasonable, $26 for something that costs $2... :(
 ElectricAussie 2777 points
The best way to buy it is not to buy it piece by piece, but just bite the bullet and buy a big selection (i.e. 20 pcs.) of different sizes. This spreads out the cost/weight of the mandatory oversize box and makes them way cheaper than you'll ever see in your local hobby shop. You then have all you'll need for future projects already on hand. Cheers!

Yes ,I agree but I bought also some electronics and various items and I saved a lot of money.

And shipping cost is high because of volume, not weight. It's long and should be packed carefuly, so the pack will be much bigger then stick -)

You can use this tube. Tubes are strong, and long lasting through many crashes! If you cut, seal the cut end with a bit of thin CA glue to lock fibres from separating.
 Ostberg 7 points
use them for the bigger parts like wings and fuse, but for smaler areas use the 1mm or 1,8mm ones.

Yeah, I too am wondering why only 750mm not the standard 1000mm - shipping reasons?
 Bat-22 37 points
The "box" is only 90cm

Maybe.

It is possible to add this detail to the existing order?
 VirginiaJim 119 points
I asked, and they said even though I ordered a plane with a box 840mm, they would still require the extra length box. Booo!

Will these become available in the standard 1 m lengths as well?

I buy different size of this tubes for my aircraft project. All are great. Suitable to put 2mm rood inside and 3mm tube outside (diameter sizes are surely correct)

2 thumbs up!
This carbon fibre rod is great for re-inforcing wings.
The sizes are spot on, and each slides into the other quite easily.
If you want it rigid, just epoxy the tubes together.
Great pricing too.
