Storage mode for 2s is 7.4v. Does that mean batteries discharge to that level because my lipos have been going below that

Y2000: Thank you for your reply to my question. Do I need an additional harness?
 Y2000 13 points
not sure what you mean by harness. If you are speaking about the jack then I dont think it come with bullet connectors (mine didn't). You may need to get this: www.link

Can charge a Walkera 5200 mAh battery with the Imax B6AC charger and if so, do I need an additional harness?
 Y2000 13 points
Yes. 5200 mAh just means if the charger pushes out 5200 mA it would take an hour to charge from 0. B6AC only can push out 5000 mA so it would just take a little longer than an hour to charge from 0. (If my math is correct instead of 60 minutes it would take 62.4).

I have a nonotech 5amp tunrigy batter. I keep the battery at Storage voltage and charge them only when i intend to use the, However last few times i tried to charge them (balance changer) cell 4 is at 4.22 volts while the other 3 are at 4.15. The 4.22 over voltage scares me and i stop the charge right away connecting a balance to the leads (that also shows 4.22 on the 4th cell) to bled it down! Battery does not seem warm or anything. Im using the IMAX b6ac in balance mode. Is this mormal or a I going to have a camp fire soon? (note i noticed that on another battery (same kind) it jumped to 4.23then down to 4.19.. then back up)

Beware, this is a 50W charger. It can't charge 6S with 5A as the picture may indicate.
 Y2000 13 points
You are correct. Even if set to 5 Amps it will not charge at that rate. In fact doing the math, 50 Watt over 5 amps would only be max out 10 volts (which is roughly an 3S at storage voltage). So the only battery that can be charged at the full 5 amps for the whole cycle is a 2S.

Not a bad little charger for what it can do. Very versatile charges my lipos and nimh just fine. I did notice the balance charge function isn't 100pcnt accurate though. I generally throw my astroflight blinky onto the pack's balance leads after I'm done balance charging anyways. Only takes a few minutes to get it 100pcnt in balance. The quick charge function and other functions work great too. Works with big or small batteries which is perfect.

I've owned it for 4 days shy of a month, and so far no problems at all. The backlight is cool too...:-D

No complaints!

Title say's it all!!! This charger is my batteries life saver. It charges and balances my batteries accuratly. It can set them for storage, speed charge, balance charge, load test, and it can do it in the field from 12v DC or at home from 120v/220v AC.I have check the operation charging volts with my Fluke 77 digital volt meter and this charger is right on the money. This is probably the last charger I will need for a long time. When I got this I gave my Triton charger away because I felt it was obsolete next to this one, and it was half the cost of the competitors!!!

Thanks hobby King for such great products at GREAT prices!

Russell

Using this to charge 6S, 3300mAh batteries (HXT) - works great. Works just fine with Australian power once you switch the plug over.
