The 2 blades together are 7 inches, so with the VPP unit you will have about 8 inches.

For spare blades, you can put heli tail blades on that !!!
You even have the choice of plastic, fiber, or carbon blades.

Some 1600 KV motors, running on 11 volts ( 3 cells), could pull as much as 20 Amps. Be safe and use a 25 Amp ESC.

thats what i'm wondering as well...

Notice type A all look the same, type B look the same etc. They're just noting that there is more than one type, with slight differences, and which one for each. Different manufacturers or slightly different parts/styles from the same manufacturer.

8 thumbs up!
I ordered this part for a Shockflyer but it was not a good choice for me - the motor is definitely not the one shown on the picture. The unit is too heavy for a 800mm span shocky - should be good for bigger models (1mplus).

Some vital data for the unit:
Motor weight=50g, d=31mm, l=23mm, Motor shaft d=4mm, l=45,4mm
Variable pitch unit incl. Prop: weight=21g, d=220mm (7" version!)
Motor mount weight=2,9g
Pitch-wire d=1,78mm

The unit comes assembled with prop-blades and motor mount to screw on. The vari-pitch-unit comes from a heli tail. It's not high precision but absolutely sufficient for a winged model.
