To charge this battery with the Imax B6 what is the best A to charge at?
It says that this battery charges at 2C which from what I read is 1.8A x 2 so 3.6A.
I am currently balance charging it for the first time at 3A and it seems to be working fine. I am just looking for confirmation to make sure I am not doing something wrong. Thank you
Normally it says on the back. But This battery is 20c so 2c is the max you can safely charge it at. What this means is that 1c is 1.8amps. For any batterie the best rate to charge it at is 10 percent of the mah. Please credit me if that helps.
Ya know I was wasn't sure how to say it here is what I meant. If you have a 1000mah battery 1c rating would be 1amp. On this battery 1800mah 1c would be 1.8 amp. So I guess it would be divide it by 1000. Sorry about my previous note. So I charge mine up to 3.6 amps.
Hi, Like the other guy said it is a Turnigy XT60 plug. Just cut it off and solder on your favorite plug. I use Deans plugs on mine. This battery has the same balance plug as an E-Flite battery.
I have two of these batteries and both of them has XT60 connector that hard to connect to any male connectors i have. Just re soldered them to another XT60 connectors bought from hobbyking (genuine one). So, now it much better!
On my Cessna 182/1200mm/860gr/NTM Prop Drive Series 28-26A 1200kv 250w/10x4.7SF prop - i have 9-10 minutes flight until cutoff.
Good batteries.
yup, it works on the mini e-revo, you just have to change to a smaller gear so the motor wont overheat. you can consult the manual for the proper gear ratio to be used
Hi, it means cells in parallel. If it says 2p than it has more than one per cell. So a 3cell lipo, 3slp has only three cells in it. The amount for 3 cell 2p battery is different. I do not like the 2p batteries because they are in series, and could burn inside if you over amp them. You would not even know if it happens, and it will drain the battery too low on the damaged cell and ruin it.
3S1P means there are three cells in Series (hence the "S"), the 1P means that they are not connected in parallel.
Remember, connecting batteries in Series increases the voltage. Connecting batteries in Parallel increases the capacity (mAh) but not the voltage.
Very few batteries sold are 2P. Connecting batteries in parallel is usually something *you* would do to increase the flight time on a model without increasing the voltage.
Remember, more voltage makes the motor spin faster, but more a
3S1P means 3 cells together in serial conected what gives 11.1 volt. When a pack says 3S2P there are 6 cells,2x 3cells serial, what also gives 11.1 volt. This was done because the first lipo's did't have high capacitie.
Actually it*s the 3S1P part that's important.
This applies to all lipo batteries.
3S1P = 3 cells in series and 1 cell in parallel.
The battery pack consists of a total of 3 1800mAh cells.
Each cell in a lipo pack is 3.7 volts
In this case we have 3 x 3.7 volts... that's where the 11.1 volts comes from. Again, each cell is rated at 1800mAh.
For instance if your looking at a 4s2p 3000mAh pack.....
You would have a total of 8 3.7 volt 1500mAh cells in the pack* with 4 parallel pairs in series.
I
Yes they do, but if you want to put some other connector on the leads... just clip them off (one at a time) and resolder an other connector to the wires. There is enough wire for some clipping.
Generally, what is pictured is the connector that is on the battery in question. Above looks to me to be an XT-60. You can always remove and install a connector of your choice.
Yep anything other than the smallest LiPo's which come with the little red JST connectors and the largest which come with red bullet connectors will come with the yellow XT60 connectors
think I read somewhere that there the new standard on all zippy,s, a great connector I just recieved 3 new zippy 2100mah 3s 35c they came with them way better than deans I use, Simon
After a few runs in my e-revo vxl my charger started to say connection break:( i got one to work but the other one might be dead:(Has anyone tried the same?
I have had this problem with a few batteries in my planes that draw high amperage. It heats up the conections on the board attached to the top of the battery and melts the solder that makes the conection. If you cut the wrapper at the top where the wire leads come out you can get to the board and you will see where the solder seperated. You can put a little peice of heavy wire in there or I just re solder it and leave it on there thick! then tape it back up. I lost 2 EDF planes to this problem so now I open every battery I buy and look it over. Out of the 79 batteries I have about 11 of them had this problem. All turnagy batts and all diffrent Milliamps.
they can be charged at 2c. thats where i charge mine at.

36 thumbs up!
Had first flight with this Lipo in my Parkzone Mustang. My exsisting nicads lasted 8 to 10 minutes with an acceptable speed. This pack fitted perfectly and I was stuned at the performance. Still runing standard 370 brushed through gearbox, the Zippy 1800 20c gave twice the time and another 50pcnt more speed.First time I have been able to climb verticle. When I put the pack on the charger it was at 3pcnt and at 95pcnt charge had taken 1792 milliamps. Not to many packs are true to there rated milliamps and that was only the first charge. Although slighty bigger than there counter parts these Zippy Packs are good value for money and are true to rating. I will certainly be ordering more.

14 thumbs up!
The 2200 pack and the 1800 pack look identical. There were no Identifiers written on them to tell them apart so i measured both and found the difference. The 1800 is heavier than stated at 152.3g, and the 2200 is as advertised. So far They look like beautiful packs. Thanks.

12 thumbs up!
Great packs.
I Use them in a 6s2p setup made from 4 3s 1800 packs. They pull 62A (31A per pack) without a problem. They drop in voltage but hold steady at 3.1V so not to bad. 6s2p is 570g total and sustains 1200W. Nice packs, good price, great performance. They also use a PCB so cells can be solderd loose. Packs are nicely build.

Fantastic value for money, I have Hyperion packs also and can tell no difference between the Zippy and Hyperion packs in my fun flyer.
