Can I use this to power both the receiver and ignition module in a 15cc gas engine?
 MarvelCraft 73 points
...but for the Safety of the Igition, make sure to set the Output Voltage Selector Switch to 5 Volts. Many ignitions dont like 6 Volt input generaly! HTH, Frank

Hi I think I have had bad luck a couple of times, Once with a Motor for my quadcopter and then It was the 150cc motor which I got totally another product, and it was this, which burned on me and took my 2.4Ghz Video Rx with it. But Still I have just Ordered a SBec(not this one) from HK, together with some other stoff. I Guess I am Still happy with HK. Because first of all. I live in Denmark and there are no other shops which can delever as HK does on these Prices, and secondly I think there is something Happy with HK, which drawns me back everytime :). I like HK, and I do business with them, the problem is sometimes that No matter how much things Cost I am not a Guy who send something back and ask for refund, so its me the Customer who loses in these Cases. I just Hope that at some point when HK, gets More Rich than they are today, they think of Customers like us Too, Because Its a bet Odd to make a mistake, and want the Customer to pay of his/her time and money to Correct it... But again, I am still here amn t I ? :)

Hi Is it best to plug both connectors into the receiver if you have the spare placement or should it only be one, I have got this for my hk600, with a 7 channel receiver

Hi everyone I write this to make shore that anyone WHO wants to buy this pice of **** knows wha its about. I hooked this to my Rather expensive Eagletree OSD, As soon as I attached the Bat. It started smoking and Took my Eagle tree with it too. I am so angry about this ****. I should have known. I hunestly would have paid more if i knew that these are not reliable. well I write here so that you know if you want to buy this....:(

A short or faulty one in Your particular case? I own and fly 5 of this gems in various big models, from 2/4 stroke to gasser and electric helis. Great!! My buddys have several, too. We all are very happy with its power, shielding, especialy the LED's and the convienient switch. Just replace the little 1.5Amps-only poor red power-in connector with 3.5mm Goldies or any other good high amp type connector and be happy like us!!

I also use these in 3 of my large planes. 1 nitro and 2 large 6 cell electrics. They all perform perfectly. Glad to hear others with good results.

It is always a good practice to bench test parts like these first to make sure that deliver the right voltage output, and don't do the Blue Smoke bit. I run all of my stuff for at least an hour on the bench.. before even thinking about putting it in an expensive model. That includes servos, motors, bec, distribution boards.. all of it.

82 thumbs up!
Sehr guter ubec, hatt meine Erwartubgen in jeder hinsicht bertroffen.

24 thumbs up!
I placed order on the 23rd, they posted on the 24th, and I received on the 26th, this morning, Saturday, just in time for me to test it out on my X-Cell Stratus 90. What else can I say, the product is simply excellent. Running it on 2s2p 4400mAH LiIon to provide power to all the top end brushless Futaba servos that I used, the voltage is pretty constant (5V7-5V8) all the way through.
The only minor drawback that I found is all the 4 voltage indicator LED's remain turned ON for as long as the battery is connected. What I did was, I use additional power switch, placed in between the UBEC & battery, then remove the supplied switch(default switch open = ON), so that the whole circuit is controlled through 1 single power switch.
The LEDs are very bright. Very easily seen from behind the heli while hovering, even though the UBEC is placed (double sided taped) underneath the switch. I bought 2 of them, and certainly recommend it to all my RC friends..
The best part is, it works better then my previous 5.3V regulator (US made), comes with voltage monitor, higher current ratings, but at just half the price. Good job HC!!

11 thumbs up!
Ordered 2 of them for me. The quiescent current measured on both is about 28mA instead of the 60mA announced, so even better.
Another good news, what is not mentioned, is that the switch fitted on that U-bec is of the "safety type" or "electronic switch" On mechanical failure of the switch, the receiver does continue to receive power via the Ubec. So you have two in one : Ubec plus safety switch.

11 thumbs up!
I have mounted it powering receiver (futaba 2,4 ghz), 5 servos (9kg torque) and eletronic ignition engine (SPE26) directly from only one 3300 flight power lipoly pack. Enought power, and very good voltimeter leds indicator. Ramon (Spain). Cames with two output wires.
