I recommend you more powerful servos for a 3kg foam jet. For example the Turnigy 2216MG with 3.1kg.

Has anyone tried these Emax ES08MD digital/metal gear servos sold elsewhere? See them as low as $9.5 for qty. of 3 AND free shipping! Much better spec #s than anything on this site, Seems a deal!

The above servo is a 12gram, Emax ES08D 8.5g Digital/metals are $6.27 for 3, free shipping and .08 speed spec!

The bolt head is not standard, so other arms from other servo's dont fit, you have to Mc Giver something :)

Used for cyclic on Trex 450.
Same speed and torque as HS 65, but digital, for less $$.
Center great, precise, minimum backlash from gears, buzz just a bit.
I have HGD 201 on tail and getting HGD 260 digitals on Trex 500. Im all HGD from now on.

Movement is excellent.
when i compare with HS-65MG,JR385
i just think that the quality is equal or better.

No slop, fast, strong, BB, digital and a extremely precise metal gear. Only complaint: One of the ordered servos was a little bit less precise. High quality product, I have ordered about 8 more of those. Perfect for little electric 1mx1m F3A's and 3D-Planes until about 1.2 kg. Its not "over strong", so it wont fail too fast (HS65 sometimes fail with 6 Volts)

Sehr przises Servo. Sehr stellgenau, stark und kein Getriebespiel. Weit besser als das HS-65MG. Gegenwrtig das beste 9g Servo. Ideale Wahl fr F5D als Alternative zum D60.

I have now used these servos in my E-Flite Mini Edge 540. They are fast and accurate, confirmong the spec in the listing.

4 servos (and a Futaba 2.4GHZ receiver)draw current of about 500MAH, and I have had no problems using a standard BEC supply from the speed controller/11.1v Li-Po.

I will be using these servos in future for all my smaller electric models and for flaps/crow braking in medium size (2 metre) gliders.
