Hi Alan, I found that an Australian telephone company has contract rights to 916Mhz. Seagull produce a special model which operates from >916Mhz up for the Australian market. The model sold by HK appears to be non-compliant and illegal for use in Australia. Regards

Is the 900MHz system legal in Australia?

As for letter of the law legal I'm not sure but the MAAA (Governing body & insurance provider) doesn't seem to recognize 900 MHZ so I would say probably not. AMAS may but what I've read of their codes it's vague at best so again you're probably going to have issues with insurance if you hit something or someone.

Yes this is a 900mhz system designed for 2.4Ghz compatibility. You can us them together at the same time.

Can this monitor the voltage of my 3s lipo or just a 5v reciever pack?

This will monitor only 1 voltage. Consider running a BEC rather than a separate rx pack.

Excellent product, quite versatile and invaluable if you're into competition flight or simply want to optimize your plane performance. Very handy also as variometer and "thermal sniffer".

Beware that this frequency is not allowed in France. This is the 3G and GSM frequency band. If you perturbe it probably you will be localized fast by authority. 433 Mhz is allowed, but less performant.
Eagle tree distribute a plastic aerial that probably improve distance transmission.

Like it?
I'am sure its a great product, BUT the airspeed does not work in the one I got.
I use the vario mostly, but it would be nice to have the airspeed for TE compensation.
Bit of a letdown that not all of it works.
I,ve been right throught all the settings[with a computer], but it did not work from the start.
