Turnigy Plush 18A ESCs and DT750s power my tricopter.

I have a problem with these escs. I have a quadcopter that runs fine on afro escs,, but when I changed to these, it will not fly right. It rocks and oscillates like there's something wrong with the gyro settings. With the exact same gyro settings on afro escs it does just fine. I don't trust it enough to fly it. I have gone into the programming and set all to default, and I have successfully mapped the throttle on all four. Still no joy. What's the problem here?
 Jahnkeanater 15 points
If you change your esc's you will have to retune your PID's. Even adding/removing weight will effect its stability. also default settings are not recommended for a quad copter. brake: off battery type: ni-xx "you don't want your esc's cutting out ever!" cut off: soft / low start mode: normal timing: middle / high "depending of motor"

No matter what, it would not fly with these escs. I tried for hours and hours to tune them in, but the best I had was a wobbly and unstable quad that I would definitely not trust

Have tried to calibrate the throttle (quad) but no joy. All trims to zero, re-binded the radio with RX with throttle down still nothing. no beeps, save for the start up beep. Throttle end points, up and down 100%. Any ideas?

Anyone know what the refresh frequency is on these? Wondering if they are compatible with the DJI Naza-M V2 Multi-Rotor Flight Controller?
 wolfes1126 4274 points
Yes they will work, i am using the Plush Series on 5 of my Naza Copters including Lite V1 and V2. No Issues at all. They have 400 or 450hz Refresh Rate... there is also a Google Doc available with compatible ESCs for Naza FCs but cant post links here. Just do a Search for "Google Doc DJI Naza" on Google and click on the first Result. Hope this helps you.

18 thumbs up!
This is a great speed controller. It's very smooth and dead reliable. It came out at 23 grams on my scale with no connectors. I highly recommend this ESC but also recommend buying the optional programming card that goes with it. You'll get a lot more functionality out of it that way and save yourself the aggrevation of trying to program it with your TX.

Nice ESC, and very smooth. It works well on my micro heli. Lots of features too. It's got a decent amount of flight time on it now and has performed great. The card makes programming really easy and if your like me you'll want the card too so you can see your changes.

A very reliable BESC, especially for the price. No behavior differences to my Jeti Advance 18 plus. You should buy the programming card, too. Dont forget to adjust the throttle range!

Bought this ESC and the programming box. Both work great. Have flown several flights with it on a foamy using a park 370 out runner and works as well as a more expensive ESC. Programming box is simple and convenient to use.
