My motor came with female fittings and all of my ESC's have female fittings. Is there an adaptor or can I get new connectors?
   polster74 (84%)
Ignore the comment above. Both male and female connectors are supplied (male fitted and female connected to male). Very nice little motor with more than enough grunt for my Great Planes Slinger.
   arfonzo (60%)
It comes with the couple of the connectors.
   zeroiq (59%)
You can solder any connector you want on the wires, i recommend 3mm bullet connectors available here on HK.

is this the same size as a 380 brushed motor?
   Tugdual (86%)
Yes, that's why it is called 380S !
   Jay (72%)
can size is nearly the same as any 400 class brushed motor.
   Nanoha (100%)
yes (380S)

This motor is good for boot???
   hwagener (46%)
The Speedboaters often use motors with highter KV, something like 3500 U/V. The marine-motors often have a watercooling-system connected. Take a look at Hobbykings boats, perhaps you can get a answer if some of these discussion forums...
   hpipro4 (45%)
will work on boats yes. like mini rio and other smaller boats that uses 380size motor.
   Jay (72%)
yes it turned my small boat into a rocket!

make sure not to over prop it.

I use the 4.5x5.5 Multiplex prop which is pretty awesome I think! 140 sounds quite realistic, I'm gonna measure it as soon as I meet one of my comrades with his speed gun xD
   hwagener (46%)
If a Iphone is available, there is a doppler-speed-ap for the Iphone available. If not, just record the noise and use a doppler-tool for windows ...

Hi,

my 2835-2700 was "twisted" during flight... :) The problem is that in the ProJeti, the motor is only fixed by some plastic things, there is no way to apply screws to it. I had fixed the motor with some gum to avoid twisting when accellerating or braking, but this seems to be not enough.

No i have a motor with three cables that are not isolated, but it worked without problems, the internal isolation of the copper-wires seemed to work for this ... :)

Any hints how to dissassemble the motor to isolate the wires?

Okayyy .. now that looks qite bad to me *-)
Any experience with this motor mounted on an Easy Star ?
   hwagener (46%)
This "twisting" is no problem of the motor or the manufacturer, it was a problem of bad fixing.
This motor will be perfect for an EasyStar, perhaps the 2200 U/V-version will be better, depends on the voltage you want to use (2 or 3 cells Lipo).
   Niklas Dietz (34%)
I just got the 2700kV version and it is just crazy! Half throttle is enough to just climb a little bit ... and full throttle makes it just incredibly fast and climb vertical for around 200mtrs!
I love it !!!

(PS: I use 3S LiPo)
   hwagener (46%)
Tell us what prop you use...
3cells with 5x5 APC-prop makes 140km/h ... :)

Sorry, what servos i need for my EasyStar?
   hwagener (46%)
I think any 9gr-Servos will fit...

I am planning to put this motor into my EasyStar. Until now I had a 480 brushed motor in, but now I retired it xD
I'd like to still use my 5.5x4.5 prop. Is this the right prop for it or will I miss some power then? And does it really go fast and climb quite steep with this motor?

Greets,
Niklas
   hwagener (46%)
With what voltage do you will try flying? This motor makes 145km/h with a prop like that and 3 cells Lipo. O think the 2200kb-Version will be better for easystar, but it would be interesting to see this thing run inside...
   beetledrift (50%)
you need definitly an 6x4 prop. 5.5x4.5 is to small for this motor. If you want to climb vertically you should go with a lower KV motor, so maybe the 2200kv instead
   Jay (72%)
i've gotten better preformance from my EZ with the 2200kv version of this motor and a 6x4/ or 6/5.5 prop.

Domagoj (56%)
Can somebody tell me how to disassemble it, i need to change bearings . They are noisy after only 10 min flaying.
   flyboy69 (66%)
I just received two of these and another one on the way. One has bad bearings which appears to happen with this motor. Costs more to ship back that worth. Has scratches on the front and broken mounting holes. Same question as to bearing replacement and where to get them? Is it worth the hassle?
   internetsucht (61%)
That's too bad to here. Got three of these. And two of the 2700kv. All of em work fine.

Regards
   hwagener (46%)
Try looking if the bearings are the source for bad sounds. Other things might be bad, the prop-mount can be bad. I have many flights with this motor and everything is fine...
   Brutus315 (84%)
I also bought this for my EZ* and it was DOA. I read the motor caps are press fitted. I would just like to look inside see if I can fix it. Done B 4 Anybody open these press fit motor caps? I see no c clamp TIA

Felar Furlong (88%)
which shaft size it really have for now? reviewers mentioned 3.2 , 3.175 and 4 mm.
   Andy (60%)
I do believe its 3.175. However I am not certain. Check out rcgroups**** or wattflyer**** for more details.

Andy
   Felar Furlong (88%)
the one which i received is 3.2 mm.
   internetsucht (61%)
Until now I bought three of them. They all have 3.175.

Greets,

Markus

Matneymodels (59%)
How will this work with a Zaggi and 3 cell lipos 2100Ma
   internetsucht (61%)
Depends on which prop you take. Look at the reviews. There is some data on thrust, Ampere and props.

If you want to go with 6x4 on 3s, you should have a Lipo that can handle 60A cont curr. I was flying that. But hey, that's to much for the little chap and now I am working 6x3 what the motor will be appreciating.

Thrust is about 1,2kg.
   hwagener (46%)
This motor is for fast planes, with a 5x5 APC you get 145 km/h speed, i don't think a zaggi will be good for that speed. Get a 2200er-version, perhaps this will do. But for zaggi i would use a outrunner.

Hello, what adapter need for this ***********hobbycity****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8006&Product_Name=Master_Airscrew_propeller_5.5x4.5_%282pc%29 Prop and the motor of this discussion?
   hwagener (46%)
You need an adapter for a 3,2mm-shaft. I have bought the adapters at home, they are not too expensive.
   edeagle (67%)
I crashed and broke the shaft on my motor, is there a replacement part available?
   mt_100 (73%)
Not sure what is up with mine, running a Master Airscrew 5.5x4 prop on 3S 2650 packs and it pulls 31.5 amps. Not the mid 20s like others see.
