Our most popular HK450PRO helicopter kit now offered in a flybarless torque tube version!
HK-450TT PRO V2 Flybarless CCPM 3D Electric Helicopter Kit (Align T-rex Compatible). Modeled on the famous and proven Align T-Rex 450PRO V2 Flybarless helicopter kit. Take a close look at the head and tail of this awesome machine. It's ultra light, yet rigid design is strong enough for even the most skitzophrenic of 3D helicopter pilots!
When comparing helicopters, carefully look at the tail and head unit. Our 450PRO V2 Flybarless is FULLY 'PRO' and does not use parts from previous models.
*Now featuring an upgraded metal tail slider and tail slider control arm!
Features: • Newly designed low wind resistance flybarless rotor head assembly with reduced distance between rotor head and frame, effectively lowering the CG for better 3D performance. • Single piece integrated design of main bearing block and servo mount. • Single piece integrated design of anti-rotation guide and gyro mount. • Single piece integrated landing gear. • High precision flybarless head system. • Newly designed high resolution swashplate. • Single piece battery mount with integrated canopy mount designed to bring CG closer to disk plane. • Highly rigid frame with single piece carbon side and bottom plates. • Highly efficient shaft driven tail design. • Weighted tail rotor blade grips to repel centripetal forces. • Straight-up in-frame alloy rudder servo mount for improved geometry and better CG. • Newly designed aerodynamic canopy. • Newly designed high strength main blade grips. • Upgraded metal tail slider and tail slider control arm.
I have one of these with the KDS eBAR flybarless system, its a great starting point for Heli flyers, I did have a 250 size Heli but they're a little to twitchy so moved up to the 450, I can also recommend that if you buy a Heli with toque drive you will, and you will, strip the main tail rota gears if the tail rota touches the ground so order some extra ones of these GT450pro-116. when you need to replace the gear be careful not to loose the brass shim washer on the gear shaft as you will need to install this on the shaft of the replacet gear as the shim washer is not included in the gear pack. I hope this helps all you other budding Heli flyers. Have fun and be safe do not fly indoors!!!
which of these do I get for this heli ?
Brushless Outrunner Motor
Servos
Flybarless Control Unit
Receiver
ESC
Just getting back into heli flying thank you
I only received this helicopter today so for now I can only offer an over view of what my initial impressions are. I already own an HK600GT helicopter which has received the essential Align upgrades in the interests of longevity and safety. It's a great helicopter and fly's beautifully in its MD500 fuselage. I have also owned in the past an HK500GT helicopter which has now moved on to its fourth owner and is still flying. As you can probably tell it's these two models which influenced my decision to buy the 450FBL. On opening the box I was presented with several small boxes with all of the parts packaged in separate bags which I see as a positive step forwards with HK packaging, well done HK. The overall finish of the parts is quite good for the price, typically the carbon side frames will require the edges rubbing down to rid them of the sharp edges, certainly nothing to complain about. The head and tail are very nice indeed, the head in particular seems like a little gem. I also see a new swashplate, it has no slop at all. Similarly the head doesn't have any slop either and the black finish seems to be very well applied. I'm not sure what I was expecting with the canopy, I've read elsewhere that they are flimsy and weak, certainly the one in my kit seems quite tough and looks like it should last the course.
Overall I'm extremely impressed with the box contents and look forwa

As an update to yesterdays review, I have now put the helicopter together, ZERO issues with overall fit or finish to this model even the gears are round and free of wobbles. Hobby king seem to have sourced new screws, these ones seem to be made from a harder material than the older models with nicely formed heads for the hex driver to fit, none rounded out or stripped during assembly....excellent! If I was to be really picky trying to find faults, the tail blades are a little tight in the grips, oh and my main blades are missing from my kit. I don't see this as an issue though as I have plenty of 325mm carbon blades available from my stock box. I have ordered the Turnigy 3550Kv motor and the YEP 45 Amp ESC with programming card for this model. Servos will be Turnigy MG90's and an E-Max tail servo. Be aware if you buy this model you will need to fit the motor before installing the servos, if you don't you will not be able to access the motor screws for fitting.

To conclude my review I have now flown the helicopter. With the electronics I have listed above the model fly's extremely well and I have to say very smoothly as well with no nasty vibration issues other than a small amount of dancing during spool up. I put this down to the tightness of the blades in the grips, they are a little bit too snug and will benefit from a light sanding to allow them to swing fore and aft. The Turnigy motor provides ample power with the YEP governor set at 65pcnt gain. The YEP 45 Amp esc is superb and well worth the money, programming via the programming card is very simple to do. Overall I'm delighted with the model, it seems to fly every bit as well as my Align T-Rex 450 pro. 5 stars to Hobbyking for another winner.
Excellent, big improvement from my first HK heli, a 450mt. Can't really find any faults apart from the wobbly main gear. Using with tarot zyx and typhoon 2215 motor, 13 tooth pinion. Well done HK.
