Recieved two of these 710s and neither work, one will not bind at all the other works to start with but after 2-3 minuites the led flickers and servoes and throttle start sparadically jummping allover there range of travel. Others have had simmilar issues with these new units easily recognisable due to the wavy case. In a nutshell do not trust these they are not fit for use!!!
 Jlaw71 127 points
Take it out of the case :D
 Jlaw71 127 points
Seriously the case should make no difference wot so ever as the signal comes from the antenna which is outside the casing.I Ordered one and field tested just because of this query i also added a satellite receiver and did a range test. The range was further than any of my 6ch receivers and i run out of street before loss of signal. Which leads me to think your items may have been next to a magnetic object in transit or something as interfered with them. There the breaks unfortunately.
 Instech 7 points
Jlaw did yours bind easy. I hope ive been unlucky because I have a 9channel also that wouldnot not bind at first. Eventually after at least 30 attempts it bound so i range tested with strange results, just using a reciever pack and 1 servo connected signal is lost just for 1 or 2 seconds every so often at all ranges, the led goes out and no conntrol is available then led comes back on steady and signal is restored. Thats 3 out of 3 bad ones all the new type (bind/sbus). Never had any issues with the older ones (bind/bat).
 Jlaw71 127 points
Yes it bound up easy enough Just looking into why a 7ch receiver and a 9ch receiver Both Bound up But the Motor Constantly kept beeping ...... I know it was not the ESC because that was programmed by card also a 6ch receiver bound just the same without the constant beeping ( although they constantly beeped with the bind key in once removed and turned on again all was normal )

startazz ? how good are these receivers?
 DodgeHobby 177 points
I have used this receiver before with satellite Rx on my FPV Raptor, Brilliant piece of kit, works really well and not a single glitch
 Instech 7 points
The older ones were great however these new units with the wavy case are not even close to usable, vey poor QC. Be ware many planes will be lost!
 tonyf 5 points
So do HK make a 6ch Rx that does work full range?
JanFloris  37 points - 7/15/2012

Are these 7 channel ones full range?
 Paramanic 25 points
yes if you add satalite a think
 racingdave 7 points
a satelite will not increase range guys, they just give another angle/plain for the signal to be picked up on. meaning black spots less likely. the reciever on its own is full range.
 Paramanic 25 points
Do you use these receivers?
 startazz 952 points
Yes i do mate and they are every bit as good as $pektrum ones and in some cases better IMO. If you look them up on Youtube you can see some bloke test them out with really good results.
 Paramanic 25 points
Yeah a seen that vid thanks mate do you use a satalite?
 startazz 952 points
Nope but you can if you want the added security,i also use a lot of the Orange R601 RX's some with satellite but mostly with out, just as good as these, just remember the satellite isn't just to add a bit of range but mainly to increase your link to your radio.
 Paramanic 25 points
Thanks mate what a needed to hear gonna buy this one thanks
 startazz 952 points
No worries mate and i'm only to pleased to help out and i bet you will buy more after using one of these.
