The HobbyKing Firenza kit is an ideal entry point in to the exciting world of F3A flying. If your looking to step up your game and hone your skills then the Firenza F3A pattern ship is a great choice. Renowned for accurate handling, large graceful flight envelopes and razor sharp performance, F3A aircraft are all about precision and style.
Built from strong EPO foam the Firenza is a tough contender. This model is large enough to offer solid performance usually not found in foam models and will have no problems handling a mild breeze at your field.
You will require a 42 size Brushless outrunner motor around 650~800kv, a 60 Amp ESC, a 4S 3000mAh Lipoly battery and your own transmitter and receive (Tx/Rx)
Where would you recommend the centre of gravity & control throws are set for the first flight ?
As the instructions that came with mine have no such info.
I would be very grateful to all concerned for your help in this mater
Kind Regards Seren
I've finally found the time to start putting the Firenza together, but I've still a way to go yet, so this review is about the quality really. The good first. Cheap, nice size, good quality foam, and most of the hardware is included. The bad. The piano wire strut was packed in the box first, and the fuselage placed directly on top. This has left several deep indentations in the fuselage. The tail wheel is provided, but not the wire assembly, meaning I'll have to buy another unit. 2 of the 4 clevises are rubbish, the screw holes don't line up so I'll use alternatives. The decals are rubbish too, they had started peeling, sticking to everything in the box. All in all not bad, especially since it's cheap, just a shame there are niggly faults. I'll post a further review once she's built and flown.

Flown 3 times so far flies immaculately Got a few lumps and bumps from bad packing but for the money who cares I certainly dont and am ordering another one
Flies a bit front heavy so it lands with a bump unless you come in fast
but I will soon sort that out
Put a Donkey ST4010 820kv in with an old 80 amp speed controller I had hanging around plus a Gens ace 4000mah 4s battery Had to cut the cowl inside about a bit and need to move battery back 1" to get cofg right but otherwise flies a dream
Downer the decals are cp make or get your own and the glue supplied came in a lump need your own I used cyano wit activator otherwise a fantastic kit for the money

Bad decals x2 sheets(keep on pealing off there glue base's) were pealing of the sheet in the box when opened , and once applyed have kept pealing off all over the model when applyed spoiling the plane andf making it unflyable as is , and no pre drilled holes for rudder hinges in the rudder it's self to join from fusalarge. Abig foamy for the money spoilt buy these faults.
Received kit today. All parts well packed and in bubble wrap. Best quality finished EPO I have ever seen. Will cut off control surfaces and fit proper hinges. Don't forget to fit carbon reinforce tubes into wings, ailerons and elevator pre cut out channels, as these are not supplied. SK3 4240-620 to be fitted now. Great work HK

arrived the saturday before new year, started building new years day excellent kit for the money, one of the best foam models i have had and seen very nicely done, epo just a pity about the decals? applied large red and blue to the left wing ? all ok went to apply large red and blue to right wing, er no stickky on it the paint just peeled off, not good might be able to salvage with some pva?? i dont know weather it needs the carbon rods in wing and tail i think there should be some warning to buyers to purchase the carbon rods for wing and tail ? unless it dosnt need them ?? i will fit them ??i have some ,nothing in the instructions about them ??? will fill retract holes with spare foam , will put flying reveiw when i have flown it t t f n john
