Would the Turnigy TG9e 9g micro servos work on this heli
 r_g_r 1112 points
Yes the will work. I recommend to google for "hk450 configurator". There you find the best parts to build this helicopter.

this kit or full alloy kit? both same heli but price difference because of alloy a think
 phil1234 21 points
I know the alloy kit is a bit more expensive but a lot better in quality, you get a carbon frame and I got glass fiber blades, It is a lot stronger build I have 2 of these, I have one as a scale helicopter and one for 3d.

find a park or some empty farm field and fly there. I fly in my village about 10m from house and people.

This will give the UK market a wake up call, I've used HK for most of my gear, tools etc, I know you have to wait abit, Customs eg, but price wise could'nt be beaten, well done HK, A UK warehouse at last. YYYEEEEAAAAHHHH.
 juno2 18 points
Hobbyking should make it clear that ALL prices will be charged in Dollars. When i went to order a kit in GBP's the price at checkout was £*4.00 higher. Needless to say i cancelled the order. *-(

the HK450 CCPM 3D Helicopter Kit (Align T-rex Compat.) Ver. 2 (UK Warehouse) is 88p dearer than hong kong warehouse, still a good deal, I think, as its already in the uk,

Yeah, *jeepmanx, I know, I ordered mine from China nearly 4 bloody weeks ago (NOT HobbyKing though), I could have been flying it now if Hobby King had opened their UK Warehouse a month earlier lol

Very pleased with this kit. I bought this as an introduction into helicopters. The price is fantastic for what you get. I spent a few evenings putting this together. With a bit of advice from some other club members, setting up was pretty straight forward. I have now had a good couple of hours learning to fly. I just need more good weather to get back out to the field for some more heli action :-)

Awesome quality kit, I'm a complete beginner when it comes to building helicopters and bought this as I wanted to upgrade to a CP helicopter. The kit went together really easily and uses really good quality components. Some of the screws stripped but there's spares included so no big deal, just waiting on some more electronics but can't wait to try it out.

Bought one of these last week when they were £17 ish , Fantastic value for the money ... superb piece of kit, body already assembled you only have to put on the skids, tail boom and slot the head in ... the quality is first class, you need to make sure you get the right size Allen key though as metric doesn't seem to be quite the right size, and also a good small cross head screwdriver, I used hxt900 servo's all round (£1.70) each Turnigy typhoon motor (£10) HK401b gyro (£7.50) gyro holds tail rock solid in hh mode even with the ordinary servo I stuck a 40a esc I had in it. After a bit of test hovering in the garden to sort gyro and pitch settings I had first flight at the field, no problems first circuits without incident , its very stable and smooth the included blades don't look very special but they seem to work fine for basic flying around I ended up with a lot of screws and washers left over after building, (which is a bit worrying)! but nothing has fallen off ! so I guess they were spares I would recommend this heli to anyone very stable, and very nice to fly, will try some mild aerobatics later on in the week . I hadn't flown a helicopter apart from having a go with v911 at indoor flying for over 7 years and found this easy to fly.
