HK-250GT Electric Helicopter Kit (Alloy/CF w/ Blades) (UK Warehouse)
The HK-250GT is a high performance factory-upgraded heli kit. With it's true carbon fiber frame, hard alloy head and tail plus numerous upgrade components, the HK-250GT is sure to be a favourite amoungst micro 3D pilots.
Features.
Newly designed main rotor head set produced from billet alloy. Newly designed metal control lever and CCPM metal swashplate for improved 3D performance. New anti-rotation guide, with its strengthened frame base enhances the structural strength of the main frame. Single unit tail belt makes it easier to assemble and improving rudder efficiency.
mine arrived with a wonky head top, shaft is fine, its the top alu assembly that is not straight, so it wobbles when spun.
can this be fixed? or best to return it?
u can do it cheaper than a TREX250 and make it fly well, only snobs or people who have forked out for the real thing will tell you otherwise. (Get a TREX canopy..)
The shipping was all right, definitely a step-up to the international warehouse.
The drawbacks of the helicopter:
The bell-hiller frame is bent due to an erratic bell see saw ball bearing installation. The tail belt pulley's ball bearings are gone due to erratic assembly. The quality of the airframe, and the overall components are waaaaaaaay below the original Align heli( I have both). The thread lock has been applied magically, somewhere it appears, somewhere it disappears. Overall, a low quality product, but hey, for £30 one can't really complain right?

The quality of this kit is excellent for the money. The kit was great fun to build and finish. The quality of the components are very good when you consider the price point. All of the parts were in good order and worked well. The kit was put together and flown as a bone stock heli and this worked well. I have now fitted the flybarless head and I can tell you this with a tarot zyx-s gyro is a very worthwhile upgrade. I have just returned form the field and the next thing I will be buying is a bunch of lipo's this is going to be flown to death.
Please remember that these heli's require building correctly and be prepared to play about with setups to find the best flying trim for your style, with that in mind you will have a great flying model.

Ordered mine from the new U.K warehouse it arrived in good time. Opened the box to find the Main rotor head, carbon side frames,tail rotor, tail boom all to be of a good quality for the price. Thats the GOOD news. Now for the BAD. NO main skids,NO tools, NO skid tubes,NO skid mounting plate and a cracked canopy. Two weeks of emails with HobbyKing still no parts. They have offered a compensation in the form of bonus points. You can at the moment only buy the parts at the global warehouse which will take a while to arrive in the U.K. So thats my experiance with a HK250GT well half a one.

great heli for the money... check the metal screws/bolts for threadlock before your first flight though, my feathering shaft came loose on its first hover and the blade nearly hit me at speed.
