NTM Prop Drive Series 35-48A 1100kv / 640w (USA Warehouse)
NTM Prop Drive motors are rock-solid performance outrunners with tight windings, quality bearings, correctly rated magnets, balanced stator and flux rings, tool-steel shafts plus they are QC checked at 14 points, from material processing all the way through to final dyno test.
Because we design and build these motors completely in-house (from 3D/2D drawing to materials sourcing, machining, balancing, final assembly and dyno) we can completely control production and ensure product consistency from design right through to shipping the product to you. The removal of middle-men has meant we can drive better value to the market and retail these motors at factory(our) prices! All performance figures are real and tested on our own motor dynos.
Our QC engineer checks and balances each motor before shipping to the HobbyKing.com warehouse.
Makes no sense! They should include the accessory pack. We would gladly pay few extra dollars to get all in one package rather than mix and match or worse wait for the accessories to restock...duh..NTM motors - awesome.
it makes sense to me because I don't need them so why I have to pay for those things , same like airplane ticket I always travel without package then why I have to pay for that
anyway this motor is awesome ( like you said and I agree ) and it is so cheap ( I bought 3pcs ) I used it for my PZ P47 and BF109 2blades absolutely I don't need X mount so save $$ from accessory pack to get eflite power15 shaft ...I like it
I just bought this motor 2 weeks ago and I want to share with Doug & Jim . I bought a shaft for Eflite motor power 15 at A Main Hobbies webside about $2.99 shipping cost ... fit perfect easy to change around 10 or 15 minutes and now I can mount it in front of firewall , hand text with ******** prop 4S 40C jump up to 600W quickly and quiet
I also text it with 3S 40C 2200mAh ESC 60A PZ prop 9.5 x 7.5 it hit to 400W or a little more , I use X mount from turnigy gold or XP I do have a lot more than 10 so if you need I can give you some no problem absolutely FREE cost and FREE shipping too
I had the same issue as Doug. I tried to loosen the set screw and move the shaft forward but the screw would not budge. So I bought adapter kit but am concerned that there was no collar for the back of the shaft. What's to keep the motor bell from pulling out at full power?
I was surprised upon receiving this motor that it is designed for mounting BEHIND a firewall, instead of in front. Has anyone been able to remove the shaft and replace it so that the motor can be mounted in front of the firewall?
Who did the math above on the posted figures?
Amp x Volts = watts
Maybe they will post the correct values, would be nice to know before buying and finding out it wont work for your plane.
I just received this motor but was disappointed to find that it did not include an "X" type mounting plate or prop adapter. I can move the shaft forward and use a collet prop adapter but I still need the mounting plate.
For your next order all NTM motors do not come with any mounting or prop adapter kits. Most all NTM motors in the description say that it is needed and provide the info to buy it. Don*t let this turn you from these motors they are true power houses, they blow eflite power series out of the water.
Even when you purchase the prop adapter kit, it does not include anything that attaches to the actual 5mm shaft, such as a collet/shaft adapter for using this motor behind the firewall.
Can't believe this came without a mounting part. Who made that decision at HK? Who could use this motor without mounting hardware? Come on HK - think! On top of that, no mention of this fact in the description. So where are we supposed to get the mounting hardware? Disappointed in HK once again. :(
How exactly do you bolt these up to a motor mount. I have a Parkzone P47 and am used to just having the bolt holes line up and go. I am guessing that will not happen here. Do you put the end with the shaft toward the plane and install the adapter that comes with it on the other side. Can it be installed with the shaft side out and the 3 holes toward the plane? How would that work?
either way its a matter of how your going to mount the motor, or I should say how you need to mount the motor. If you don't use the adapter then you nee to buy a prop nut that fists the shaft. 5 mm
I bought a motor mount from CustomRCParts**** that is made for the P47 and 35-48 motor. Cost was $15 but worth it to me. I bought two of the motors, the 1100Kv and a 900Kv. Using $pektrum telemetry the 900Kv, 4 cell Lipo and 10x10 prop gives around 600 watts, 40amps and makes the plane fly at a top speed of 89mph. Going to try the 1100Kv motor today but expect will have to reduce prop pitch as putting out 70 amps and around 1000 watts.

very quiet and powerful motor I text it with PZ prop 9.5x7.5 3000mAh 4S 40C and ESC 60A it jumped up to 600W quickly but I didn't use full throttle , only around 75 - 90pcnt I am so scare ... man , I need to use this motor a few more months to know the quality of it , I changed the shaft of this motor by Eflite power 15 and fit perfect , I will use it for my PZ p47 with 3S 40C it will hit to 400W or little more , the temperature is good ( a little warm )
