I also bought 2 of these for a boat from HK. No manual for them - makes me wonder about throttle calibration?? an upload of a manual or link to one would be great. Other wise - they look solid - no connections however which can be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. I didn't mind as it allows one to choose their own type of connections.

Received this today, have never used a brushless motor or brushless esc before. Description says

Brake (No Brake / Soft / Medium / Hard)
Motor Direction (Clockwise / Counter-clockwise)
Timing Mode Setting (1 / 7 / 15 / 30)
PWM setting: 8K/16K

BUT there are no instructions at all. Anyone know how to set this up or where instructions might be on this site?

Note: I bought the 70amp SS HK speedies to go with each motor. OK, so first run out I ran each motor on 2 cells (7.4v lipos) for the steering I use a spare traxxas steering servo from a Emaax since it water proof and an old 1/10th car speedie to power the servo & RX. First thing I learned - the boat dont turn really well until you punch it and get it plainning :-) thought it very cool. After the run however - the lipo packs got thumped! They were pretty hot as were the motors, speedies not so much. Also found alittle water in the back near the booty for the servo rod - grease rod and add some extra CA to the boot where it meets the hull = no more water at all! Next run I tried running both 2 cells in series to make 4 cells (4S 14.8v) but with in 5mins the packs got so hot one of the wires got too hot and melted the solder. :/ So checked the water flow system and it was all good, then I pulled out both motors and the drive shafts (Not that hard to work out square end to the prop shaft and collar setup to the motor), there was no grease down the flex drive - only where the square end runs in to the prop bolts. The motors felt a little... well the bearings felt a little hard, so I greased up the flex drives and put them back together and used bearing lube on each end of the motors - then put them back in. Took it for a test with 2 x 5000mah 40~80c 3 cell lipos - one for ea
