The GeeBee R2 draws a crowd wherever it goes. Even more so in a 120 size fiberglass version! This model comes as an ARF and includes water decals pre applied under the clear gel coat as well as the lettering seen in the image. The landing gear is completed with beautiful wheel pants and 5mm spring steel struts. This is a very exciting model for pilots familiar with fast models. As this is a fiberglass kit, it is a builders model and takes around 4-5hrs to complete.

I personally would try an 18x6,will reduce the torque a bit,this style of aeroplane will swing quite a bit on take off with a coarse pitch prop,anyone with any other idea's?

Vosje, did you order something else with the GeeBee120kit? Because I did and now I recalculated the shipping box without the extra's and it should be shippable to other country's. But I didn't get an answer from them yet.
Hi, i have that Gee Bee Z from Sea Gull too, the price worth, but the shape is not very scale and look at the ailerons, they are wrong.
As every ARF you will have to improve the landing gear. Best wishes!
Finally in the EU, I watch it for quite some time. I wonder whether you could put 50ccm boxer engine, or would be too heavy, and how much is the weight of the airplane.
Hi Roman, I've had a few Geebees and the CG is usually way up front and with their short nose they tend to need extra weight to get it righ, so I think a bigger engine would not be an issue, at least when it comes to the weight. Just ordered this one, might put a 50 in as well.

i had a saito 1.50 in my great planes (same plane)and cg was fine and it was i think 22% from L Ege flew very stable knif edg from one end to the other end of field but landings as always heard (come in fast ). if your going to plasce a 50cc its to heavy for the front ,you need to keep the plane as lite as you can.
Thanks for the advice I ordered a plane and get ga over 2-3 days. For the drive I have not yet decided, I do not know how much weight the plane empty, It is also possible electric version at 10S, motor 63-54, 200 rpm / V. What weight is your GEE BEE (F100CUFFLINK) ready to fly.
Finally!! A year and a half after they wrote that it would be available in DE within 60 days, it gets here. They must have used a sloooooow boat...
Anyway, ordered one yesterday (my .91 size balsa R1 is in dire need of retirement), can't wait to get my hands on this one!
I love this airplane But wish they had thought through the design to accommodate electric fliers.
With just a little bit of forethought a large access could have been added to the top of the airplane.
That Addition would have doubled the customer base.

I recently got this model, very nicely done, all hardware is included What bothers me is haw its made the rudder, otherwise I can not wait to go fly.

This is a great model, could be the greatest Gee Bee for this price, but the rudder is crap (faulty design), too thin, too small, not like on the sales page. I complained this, Hobby King promised me a replacement part. I tell about it here, if it comes true... Otherwise very good quality, would and will buy this Gee Bee again. Model flyers like spare planes... ;-)

Sehr schönes Modell, könnte für diesen Preis die beste Gee Bee sein, aber das Seitenruder ist so nicht verwendbar!!! Es ist zu dünn, zu kurz, sieht überhaupt nicht wie im Angebot aus. Ich habe das reklamiert und mir wurde ein Ersatzteil versprochen. Ich werde das hier posten, sobald ich das Teil bekomme. Ansonsten sehr gute Qualität, würde und werde mir die Gee Bee nochmal kaufen. Modellflieger mögen ja Ersatzflieger.... ;-)

Mittlerweile ist meine Gee Bee flugfertig, aber noch nicht geflogen. Leider muß ich im nachhinein meine euphorische Bewertung revidieren. Es muß fast alles überarbeitet werden, insbesondere das Fahrwerk, daß pro Seite mit einem winzigen Hartholzblock gehalten werden soll. Einer ist beim vorsichtigen Hinstellen herausgebrochen! Das heißt dann oeffnen der Flaeche.... Weiters ist das Hartholz für die Flaechenaufnahme vorne im Rumpf schief eingeklebt, da bohrt man dann nur in GFK. Für das falsche Seitenruder kein Ersatz, aber ich habe bonus points bekommen. Wer mehr wissen will: brezel53-at-freenet(dot)de. Für einen Modellbauer alles kein Problem, aber zusätzlicher Aerger und Zeitaufwand. Für Gee Bee R2 Fans ein Muß, es gibt keine andere neu auf dem Markt....
