hi, i have a piper cub with a 900 wing span. the kit has a standed electric motor. The transmitter is a Sirdar Metal and Plastic Works SD t3dp 12 v dc. 06 27.095mhz (Cheap clompete kit). The battery compartment is only 6cm long by 5 wide. I've also been given a plane without the transmitter - which it has a Aero Drive XP turnigy motoer C3536-1300 with a spectrum 2.4gh DSM2 AR 600 6 channel sports receiver. With a Li Poly XP22003ah 11.v 3s(44 A continuous charge). My Questions: 1. Can you recommend a 4ch Tramsmitter (for a learner) that can suit both planes. 2. Recommend the right size Li Poly, Brushless motor (about 5.8 long - with a bit more grunt) for the Piper(which is tail plane/rudder control with thrust only (no ailerons)

This Turnigy motor will probably suit your www.link Transmitter and Receiver is quite good. It's 6 channel but so cheap that you might as well have the extra two channels for future use. Order an extra receiver with it and you can use it to fly both www.link

Hmm, sorry I don't think the links I put in worked. So here are the two products: 1. Turnigy DST-1200 Brushless Bell Motor 1200kv 2. HobbyKing HK6S 2.4Ghz FHSS 6Ch Tx & Rx (Mode 2) 3. Order an extra receiver to save having to swap one receiver from one plane to the other. You can bind both receivers to the one transmitter. HobbyKing HK6DF 6 Channel 2.4ghz Channel Receiver

I put theis motor into a 48" combat gremlin. Running a 3000mah 4s 30c batt, 55 amp esc, 13 x 10e apc prop, it pulls 36amp. This model has unlimited verticle, with 7 min hard flight times. Highly recommended. motor and speedy come back very cool. Iam I happy?. Yes, evry happy.
