What timing should I use for a 6s, 3000 mAh battery, Turnigy 3126 - 1600k/v motor in a HK500CMT Heli? 15 or 30?
 HELZYEAH!!! 5 points
I have it programmed at 15 on my HK500GT with 4S 3000 mAh. It is recommended that you leave it at default value or middle setting, but you can always experiment with different settings. If you have a watt/amp meter it will help so you can physically see the difference.

Can the hobbywing program box be used to program this hobbyking ss 70-80 esc. Thanks
 Gary 3000 points
I doubt it as these ESC's are very basic and do not use a card for programming, they are very easy to programme via the transmitter stick.
Anyone else any experience or views on these ESC's and programme cards?
 G-Money 3 points
Thanks Gary, I thought I was going to by-pass the old TX method.......lol. So the TX is the way to program? Well thank you sir, I will give it a shot. Just hope my old brain don't screw up on the beeps and tones.....lol. Take it easy and thanks again.

This esc only has 4 program options not 6 and no instructions anywhere on the site.6 option instructions must not be the same because I cant get a soft start

Does this ESC works for planes or only Helis?
 AUTOROTATION 222 points
I have this mounted in a piper cub and it works perfectly. And I have had it in my HK 450 so works in both. Brake and soft start mode are fully adjustable to suit either model

I have one in an HK500 and another in a 55" T28 and both have worked out perfect, no problems at all!

Anyone know where I can find the programing instructions for this. Somehow mine got reprogramed to slow start and I dont know where to start to reprogram it......HELP!
 galaxy engineer 62 points
Never mind......I found the instructions. Now can someone tell me why I only have 4 programing options instead of 6 like the manual says I should have. I cant change the timing or anything else past option 4.........anyone????
 Iron@Man 7 points
hey galaxy the reason is the esc is designed to be plug and play fot those who want to fly asap and dont need a lot of mumbo just to get flying..I believe it states that in the description also I believe all SS series esc are set that way. Like I its designed for someone who dosent want to do a lot of fiddling...with just some adjustments if you want. Hope this answers you

I bought this esc for a hi 450 I am building and now I am about to program it. First question - is there a program card or box for this model so I don't have to listen to beeps and chirps? Second-I am using a Turnigy 450/500 H2223 Brushless outrunner 4400KV. What is the recommended timing for this motor? I'm assuming 30 deg. If it matters I'm only running 3s for power to it.

Does the BEC still work on 4S?
 Harold H 65 points
specs say 2-7 cells harold h
 Todd 10 points
Yes but many BECs do not function over 3S. The diclaimer about the FETs has me wondering if the one can handel BEC over 3S.
 Harold H 65 points
todd , understand what you mean but it says ubec. so it may be switching bec witch will take more volts. just guessing. harold h.

dont buy this esc.. i have had it one pack thru it and it burnt up already .. so now iam out $25 and nothing .. never again

I've been using these for 2 years and they've been solid. Take the shrink wrap off and put esc in airflow cause when these FETs heat up they become pretty intolerant.
