The root of this propeller looks very thin. what is the life expectancy of this prop? I used gws 11x4.7 prop in my tricopter. they worked fine but after 2 months of flying they developed crack in the root and broke in mid air

I find, if you tighten it to hard with screw it split. If you hit something or crash, it's very likely you need replace. When you see the crack, replace asap, it will explode on high RPM

No. These are of high quality plastic. Very stiff and durable.
