I want to use this engine on a machine like a drill, and must be connected through a switching power supply (as in the CPU), and I need help determining if this is possible, and also what drivers and / or other elements will be necessary. If anyone can suggest me how to do or where I can learn more, I'll be very grateful.

I run this motor with a 16 x 10E on 6s (2 x 3s * 3.0a/h Turnigy) it draws 31 amps * 700 watt. I need to up the prop to get full use of it.

I'm using this motor on a slow flying AP ship with 120" span X 21.5" chord. Off the ground quick with 4s 5000mah turnagy battery, 80amp turnagy esc, 20X11 apc prop. Folk were clapping at the park on the maiden yesterday....it's huge. Youtube here.

I have one on order right now. Has anybody else experienced such magnet throwing problems?
   WeKkY (41%)
I had in the past an 3542 Turnigy Aerodrive xp, had some problems with the magnets due to a little crash . Had to fix it with epoxy and patience. The best is to full fill the spaces with the epoxy between each magnets in the rotating part of the motor.

We have three of these motors and ALL THREE have thrown magnets and destroyed themselves. One went about 25 flights, one lasted ONE flight, and the third threw magnets just running up on the ground. any idea as to why this is happening. all three were using recommended props and amp ranges.

anyone try this motor at 2000 watts range? Thinking of using it for 1/4 scale extra, and wonder how it would handle the power.
the description says it will pull up to 10KG, which would be perfect. However, in order to pull 10KG you have to have at least 2000 watts, so i'm guessing this is a 2000 watt motor.
   -boot (72%)
29.6v maximum X 60A maximum= 1776w. Your battery pack will usually start out with more volts in the initial power burst so You may achieve closer to 2000 watts briefly on takeoff, hard to say exactly how much for how long though. Some buyers seem to be able to run these Turnigy motors over their rated power levels without melting anything but it's a roll of the dice. Are You a gambler?

Hi, I have instaled this motor on my PT-19 60" wing span and 3,2kg of weight. I've tested current and watts with a Life 5S pack and a 14X10 wood prop. It give me 375W and 24A/h. I think there is a lack of power, so, what would you do to get more watts?
Thanx.
   NEPTUNESP2H (47%)
375W and 24 Amps is only 15 Volts, should get more out of a 5s.
