Hi all, can that boat be also used for rescuing of a fallen sea plane and transporting it back to the coast? I like hydroplanes but they cause additional specific challenges when crash far from the land. :-)
 Serif 30 points
Good imagination :-) Actually you can add an extra servo with hook and you can pull your fallen plane :-)

Hi ShamrinHM Can you report which motor and esc you use in your centurion?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Hi there, im still using stock motor with Turnigy Marine 35A esc PRODUCT ID: TR-M-35A..hope this help.
 Mogli73 6 points
thanks for your answer! which prop? this one: Produkt ID: D32P17D18X3?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Yup..that was really a good quality prop and suited with these boat and fit perfectly with the stock prop shaft..btw, fyi i changed/upgraded my flexshaft (bought from r2hobbies) with these shaft bracket PRODUCT ID: HK-503B06 so that I didn’*t lost my prop lol (stock drive system will not last long tho)..hope this help.
 Mogli73 6 points
thanks again for your quick answer! would you recommend even another boat here in hk?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Another boat in HK, fyi i have Hornet F1, Warrior Offshore and these Centurion i bough from HK..That Warrior is more fun playing, it can self-righting itself if turned up side down but unfortunately it is not availabe anymore here..btw, try have a look at the Pursuit boat PRODUCT ID: HK-Pursuit..very stable and reliable boat..but you need ESC, servo unlike these Centurion boat..hope this help.
 Mogli73 6 points
thanks for your answer! The Pursiuit is too big for me. I'm looking for a boad at the size of this Centurion Mini Brushless Catamaran (Liposize aprox. 2200mAh). The Warrior would have been a good option for me! Self-rightning itself sounds good!! Anyway... do you know something about the Quanum Relentless Brushless Catamaran (Produkt ID: 9215000014 )?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Relentless..may be more stable, bigger and longger than these Centurion..but it made from ABS plastic..drive system seems like the same 3mm..but Relentless has bigger stock esc & more space/room too..may be you can put 2 lipos too..hope this help.

After not playing with my boat... I turn on the boat... And It's kinda confusing, i mean here is the motor... It's counter clock and then clock wise rotating very fast... It's funny... After a minute try to figure out... The ESC is smoking... The ESC is very hooot... But the BEC is still working... Funny huh??? I wander what's the problem is... My Motor or My ESC ??? I'm sure the ESC is just fine... Last run is no problem at all...

I agree with ShamrinHM metal prop is better for the motor the speed and the time to run.My friends made the experience with this type of boat you will win running time .

this boat is really great for small lakes but. but in the 6 run, just fried motor wires using LiPo 11.1 2200mAh 3S I will change ESC for this one Product ID: 9261000008 also new motor Product ID: ADS400L and this props Pr ID: P14333PK2 any suggestions if this its correct?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
If i were you, i will use these aloy prop instead PRODUCT ID: D32P17D18X3. That plastic prop will not last long and you will keep on changing it especially with that new motor. Hope this help.

thank so much ShamrinHM :) so wich motor would you recomed?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Im not so sure about that ADS motor but there is someone using it on these boat too..and it was too powerful on 3S (hard to get full speed with it)..may be someone will help about the ADS motor for you..btw bare in mind that, running boats not on it full speed can easily harm/damage the esc (esc will not last long)..hope this help.

can i use this battery for this boat, Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Yes you can (recommended lipo for stock setup)..hope this help.

After one trip esc burned up i use 3s Battery no reverse. Unstable boat .if you buy this boat buy more esc Think before you buy.
 ShamrinHM 515 points
These boat suited at calm water and need to adjust the CoG so it can run stable.
Just to share, stock esc that comes with ARR boats here in Hobbyking will not last long, so better buy upgraded esc together with it..Anyway, have a nice day.

 Rdemptioner 378 points
The ESC are no doubt burning up because the water cooling it is being run through motor before the ESC, make sure you go ESC than motor, I would also increase the tube size.
j3100  16 points - 3/24/2013

Does this boat have reverse?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Stock esc/setup doesn't have reverse. It move forward only. Change/upgrade the esc to Turnigy Marine ESC so you can move your boat both forward and reverse (just change the programming accordingly). Hope this help.

How do I buy?. I was in Indonesia, is there any shipping costs?. Where should I send the money?, Is there a representative in Indoneia?, Thanks
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Yes it is. Shipping costs depends on weight and many shippment options (Fast or standard registered parcel)..just try add the items you want, then try to make an order in order to see the shipping cost to your country.
About the payment, you need to have paypal account (easy and reliable e-transactions). Hope this help.

 Muhammad 1 points
How is the performance? Any hike in the speed? Does the esc and motor turns hot?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
The boat is more stable and more faster on 3 blade prop. I already upgraded my esc and stock motor. No heating problem so far with the motor. Hope this help.

 Muhammad 1 points
The prop is on backorder. Any other suggestions?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
You are right. Most of the props currently out of stock. If you still want to have that prop, just add in your wishlist. Hobbyking will notify you if it is back on stock. But from my experienced, it will take months to become availabe again. But still depends on luck.
 Yohana 35 points
Hai shamrin, how about 3blade 35 P1.7 prop??? will it run okay in this boat??? I run 432 prop, and it will flip if i push it too hard in 4S. The water is very calm.
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Hai Yohana, Saya menggunakan 33mm 3 blade prop on my boat or 32mm aloy 3 blade. 35mm 3 blade terlalu besar utk bot bersaiz ini even with stock motor. On 3S, bot ini pun buleh flipped apa lagi on 4S..hehe..anyway, try put your strut on higher position and move your lipo far forward ( or CoG adjustment) may be this can help you gain more speed from it. Anyway, Happy boating.
 Yohana 35 points
Shamrin you right... I use 4S with this boat, and it always flip... i limit the dualrate to 70%, to prevent it flipped. But this small boat is fun...
Sayurbiru  5 points - 3/10/2013

can i use 2200mah 4s 35c with the stock setup?????
 ShamrinHM 515 points
There will be not enough room/space for that lipo..2200mah 3S lipo for me is the limit and the stock esc only handle up to 3S..hope this help.

 Sayurbiru 5 points
thanks for the info shamrinHM. currently im using 3s 2200mah 50c and 40c with the stock motor.but the problem is after a few lap (around 5mins)the motor is getting too hot. is it normal or there is something wrong?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
With the stock esc and stock prop too? if your motor is getting too hot, there must be someting wrong with your setup (the motor working too hard compared with other components). try running your boat on 40C lipo only then check the temperature again.
 Sayurbiru 5 points
yes i found the problem...its my water tubing. the stock tubing is too soft and it bent.so it stop the water flow to the motor. change it with the strong tubing and now it works ok
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Glad to hear that. Anyway, happy boating.

I want to buy one of rc speed boat, whether shipping charges ..?, thank
sam  7 points - 3/3/2013

I brought this boat, its been great out of the box. I recommend buying this propeller aswell for this boat PRODUCT ID: P14333PK2. Gives lower planing speed, less cavitaion, better battery life, and they are very cheap.
 ShamrinHM 515 points
You are right, im using that props on my centurion too and the boat run more stable and more speed with it..make sure to have more spares tho..happy boating.
Jason  7 points - 2/28/2013

What would be a primo battery and charger combo for this boat? I just purchesd it but still need a lipo and charger Links would be appreciated
kiwiguri  3 points - 2/16/2013

In the video review the man uses 2200mAh 3s 45/90C I'm going to try installing 2s 20/30C Do I have possibilities to warm too high the lipo or damage the ESC?
 RVaitor 117 points
The lipo will run cool because it's not being used to it's full capacity.
 ShamrinHM 515 points
If im not mistaken, the higher the discharge(C) rates, more safer the lipo is (will not get hot so easily) and the faster the boat will run..hope you understand..
 Rexy03 1077 points
Yes that is correct ShamrinHM, if the lipo does not have a high enough C rating it will get hot and swell up, but the problem here is the 2s battery will run the boat very slow and the battery will get hot and swell as the draw will be too high , iy will not hurt the esc or motor but you could damage your battery
kiwiguri  3 points - 2/16/2013

I buy this boat for my little brother and turnigy nanotech 3s lipo. I see on the review video that recomends a 2s lipo for beginers. My question is: Can I put this lipo? Producto ID: T1700.2S.20 I'm worried because the discharge of rate, or there isn't problems??? Thanks
 RVaitor 117 points
That battery should be fine:)
 RVaitor 117 points
Above, I was referring to a 3S 2200 20/30. The 2S will be fine as well.
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Yes you can use that 2s lipo..if im not mistaken it can deliver around 34amp draw and the stock esc is 30amp, so no problem..hope this help.
 Yohana 35 points
This boat draws max 55A in 4s, 35A in 3S. I'm measuring this using a Turnigy Power Analyzer... T1700.2S.20 (1.7x20=34A) is good to go, because this boat wont draw more than 34A in 2S setups. Also you can choose the right battery for you... I recommend you this T2200.3S.25 battery for 3S setup (which is sufficient for me) , and this Z22004S-40 battery for 4S setups.
 Yohana 35 points
Btw i'm using 32mm prop... The stock prop is 30mm, so it will draw less amp than my states above...

I have fried the wires on the motor and am looking at buying the ADS300 as a replacement. Does anybody know if this will be suitable?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
That ADS300 has 3mm shaft diameter..if im not mistaken the stock coupling will not matched with that(have to change it)..hope this help.
 Aussie_mailman 63 points
The coupling is a non issue to me, it's more about the performance of the motor in this boat.
 Harry S. 80 points
Motor* the ADS 3000 on 3S is too much rpm. Best to use thr ADS 3700 on 2S with the 32mm prop. The ADS 3000kv on 3S makes boat flighty. I have 2 ADS motors-3700 and 3000 ( 400 watt ) but in a 22" mono and a perfect fit, both motors. Props are Octura 632 metal props. Also the HK blue 31mm props work out great, i have many of them.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Aussie_mailman 63 points
Thanks for that Harry. The stock motor was 3600kv with a recomended 3S, I never got to push the throttle full before I killed the motor. I can program the TX so the motor won't run full because it's already on the way to me, I can start my new HK obsession on boats
 Harry S. 80 points
mailman-The ADS 3000-400 watt on 2S can work as the 400 watt has more power and can take a 34mm blue HK prop but the boat had better be a 22" mono amd mine does fly on the 400 watt and stays cool.
 Harry S. 80 points
Now on this pictured cat boat, you can overpower it unless you enjoy jumping allover the pond, i don't but others do. That's why i typed 3000 on 2S will give you 22,200rpm. This would be easier on equipment and stay cooler. 632 prop on 22,200 will surprise you!!
 Aussie_mailman 63 points
Thanks Harry. Looks like I might be investing in sume large mah 2S batteries for this little puppy, it's only a bit over 17" long.
 Harry S. 80 points
Mailman- I read somewhere in these boats having to big a maH changes the way this boat handles and present equipment ( factory )seems to get very warm due to extra weight.Suggestion* get 4 lipos like 2.2 in the 40-50 C rating and run in parallel. Runtime should be great. Don't run down the lipos by getting to low on juice. I bought me a timer and run x-amount of time and check to see how the lipos get and go from there.I bought a maH lipo tester for $8.00 and paid for itself. Hope i helped you out.Now if you want real hairy fun , get a 732 prop or a HK blue 34mm prop and put brass shims in prop hub to get rid of slop as HK blue props need no balancing. LOL! Check! I did this and was cruising along and went WOT and it just plain flew and could see boat increase speed. I'm done!LOL!
 Aussie_mailman 63 points
Hi Harry. I have installed a seperate water pickup just for the motor. The new pickup is more efecient than the one in the rudder.
 Aussie_mailman 63 points
I have installed this motor, ADS400L Water-cooled Brushless Outrunner 3700kv 600w, 35amp ESC, useing the warer jacket from the original ESC. 32 mm prop. On a 2S you can just get full throttle, on a 3S WOW got to be careful, full throttle is not possible.
 Harry S. 80 points
Mailman-You might want to use a smaller mm on the prop like a 430 which gives less pitch and a hair smaller mm on the ADS 3700kv and be able to use full throttle. Man , i hope i put a smile on your face with the info i typed, have a goood day!
 Aussie_mailman 63 points
Harry S, I get full throttle on the 2S, not quite on the 3S, makes it very exciting. I am useing dual rates and exponential, which increases the driveability of the boat, thanks again for all your help. I have found that the ADS 400, 35amp ESC will run at 3/4 speed without getting hot, no water running through the system. When the boat was upside down I applied 3/4 speed to use the prop like a fan.

Hello, I bought this boat and would like to know how bindar with my 3 channel radio. The radio is already operating a car 1:16 and has memory for 10 models. How to do this same radio also operate the Centurion Catamaran? Thank you! Sorry for the english. It is the translator and I live in Brazil. Grateful if you can help me!
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Im running all my boats using 3 channel radio too with no problem..just put/plug your receiver in, then play..hope this help
 Antonio 2 points
How do I change to a model without interfering with the operation of the boat and the car? I'm new, I'm sorry, but if you can help me I appreciate it for real!
 ShamrinHM 515 points
As far as i know, everytime we change to a model (boats or cars) sometimes they have different setting on it (throttle, stearing or trim setting)..so we have to redo everything everytime we change model..hope this help.
 Antonio 2 points
Dear ShamrinHM good day Thanks for your patience. But, as is redoing all the programming? How is this done? I'm totally beginner. Is there a tutorial on the net that can help me?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
What radio system do you have? Is it from hobbyking too? Mine, Turnigy GTX3..videos for these just search for GTB3 on youtube, it is the same..what is yours?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Opss sorry, not GTB3..it's GT3B..hope this help.

My centurion mini has a 60A ESC, stock motor (3500kv), and a 32mm prop. It draws 35A on 3S Flat Out, and 55A on 4S Flat Out. The question is, why my boat runs very slow in 1600 20c battery??? It has no power at all... What's the best buy battery for my setups??? Any recommendation will be appreciated... And what's the effect if i remove the turning fin?
 ShamrinHM 515 points
Are you reffering to 3s or 4s with that 1600 20c? anyway..as far as i know, that 1600 20c just draw 32amp from your lipo..you should get higher C rated lipos (at least 40c) with that mah (1600) so that it will matched with everything..about the turn fin..i removed mine because it just make my boat turn aggresively and flipped a lot..hope this help..

Took the little boat out this afternoon. Out of the box there is very little to do, plug in the RX, fit the battery and go. (deans plug is on the ESC). But, you should undo and locktite the bolts that hold the motor to the mount as well as the grub screws that hold the prop shaft to the brass coupling. I used a 2200mah 30C Turnigy pack. Still getting used to it and didnt really want to swim today if it flipped, so took it a little easy. It turns fast but on bumps almost flipped a few times (even on straight runs). I need to practice to learn its limits. Motor and ESC and battery were pretty cool when I came back in, cooling water flow looks to be working well. The boat throws up a lot of water flat out, you end up getting a bit wet from the spray! Taping the clear canopy is a bit tricky to get a good seal due to the curved front, and when the prop shaft fell out (see hints on locktite), I had a lot of water in the boat when I got home. Overall, very impressive build quality and components. I need to practice and test different battery positions for trim changes. (I have uploaded a video in the vid section).

This is a good value for money boat. You will need to threadlock the motor mount and drive grub screws as mine came undone. My only issue is the finish of the boat, the decals would be better supplied on a sheet, mine look like they were put on in a hurry, as they are not central or straight. Moan over, It is a great little buy and comes with a spare prop - which is nice. Quick too....

Just got my boat today. Hooked up the battery and bound it to my Tx. ESC beeps alot, then pauses and then beeps alot again. Rudder works fine but I'M not getting any throttle to move the propeller. Any help? Boat looks awesome and cant wait to try it out. Extra parts and stand were a plus. Well worth the money.
