F-86 Desert Rats EDF Jet 70mm Electric Retracts, Flaps, Airbrake, EPO (PNF) (USA Warehouse)

A true cold war warrior, the F-86 Sabre found fame in the 1950's Korean conflict, it is a genuine classic with good reason, and this superb EPO Plug N Fly model really does this amazing aircraft justice.

Being PNF it is a fast build, the powerful EDF unit/ESC combo is pre-installed as are all the servos. This model is a good size and needs a 4s Lipoly to achieve the kind of performance you are looking for, also for a nice change in this class, the Lipoly compartment has been designed to take a large pack for decent flight times.

As well as being a superb looking and performing model, this Sabre is packed with features such as pre-installed electric retracts, optional drop tanks, flaps are again pre-installed as are the airbrakes which you can either set up on a seperate channel or connect to extend with your flaps, in fact this tough EPO jet only needs one thing......a Mig 15 from this new range of cold war classics to dogfight with!

Futaba is straight forward.. maybe its the same... find the switch # in the manual and assign it.

I have one of these and also have a Turnigy 9X TX. Anyone out there have any idea how to program the air-brakes to the 3 position switch? I tried and it almost took off of my stand when I linked to the wrong channel. I've tried to find on youtube but never quite found it. Thanks for any input.

This is my first one of these. Can anyone tell me the correct way to hook up the nose wheel steering? Nothing in the instructions.

Usually you use a y connector servo lead and hook it up in tandem with your rudder. Is this what you are looking for?

I have one of these also. Think he wants to know how to use the steering wire kit that comes with. I would like to know myself. All assembled and ready to go, just have to figure out how I'm going to steer the damn thing on the ground with the nose wheel free spinning. The kit has a piece of wire and 4, of what look kind of like grommets but very small. What am I supposed to do with this? Thread the wires and crimp the grommet things? To be honest it looks like one of those 3 or 4 hands jobs and I'm not sure how to make it work without completely screwing it up. Thanks for any feedback'

Is it possible to buy replacement parts, especially a front landing gear replacement?
 Antonio 6 points
I did replace the stock with the MCR-A with HK. I had to modify a little and nose gear is not flush but it works. I land in grass and these retracts lasted about 4 months of hard flying/landing. My bird weighs 5.25 lbs after 6s bat and dps 10-blade upgrade.

Could someone please post a link for replacement electric retracts?

just search for Turnigy MCR-A Retract System. Not pnp fit, does need some modification.

My first EDF jet: stable to fly, a lot of fun! Poor quality control on the impeller adapter after the motor, as I have mentioned in the discussions plus a failed retract out of the box, hence my 3 stars for quality, yet overall it is a good price for a good plane! Probably a little slow for a jet, but I need a slower jet as my first so I'm happy! Detail is pretty good and very simple to assemble... By the way, it arrived on my doorstep in less than one week from the US warehouse. Can't argue about the shipping costs either and no shipping damage. Thanks HK!
