The Alpha Jet was developed jointly by Germany & France in the 1960s primarily for use as a trainer, although armed versions were also built. The Alpha went on to be used by several Airforces, particularly in Europe, this version is in the colours of the Asas De Portugal display team.
This 64mm Alpha Jet is made from tough EPO and requires minimal assembly as the 64mm fan & ESC/UBEC are all pre-fitted as are all servos. The colour scheme is distinctive and attractive and it will help with orientation and as this model runs a 4s set up, that is just as well, its quick! Full 4 channel control is great for air-display style routines and with a servo per elevator, this little Alpha is crisp. A nice feature is the servo operated bomb drop which adds to the fun.
Fun, tough, attractive, good size for transportation, easy to assemble, good flyer and fast, there isnt much more you could ask of this fantastic little jet!
Hello Hobby King and customers
I have bought this jet after a french alpha. When i was doing a ground run with this jet the metal landing gear just broke off and was not happy!
Does any one know where to get a new pair or a retractible gear which would work on this jet.
hi guys,
I am new to this discussion thing so be patient.
Just bought this alpha, and took it to the field for a ground run. By ground run I mean I will lift off about half to 1 meter then bring it down.
Well, did lift to about a meter, got picked up by a cross wind, banked left, left wing goes into the ground and crash.
Well, OMG, the plane fell to bits. NO, not broke to bits, FELL TO BITS. (NOTE: left wing did not come off the fuse NOR get damaged at all, but the plane falls apart.) read on...
I am talking it DIS assembled it self. This unit is put together with very little glue. The seams fell apart without any torn of polystyrene. i.e. poor glue.
yes I have had many crashes but this takes the cake. I have NEVER had a plane FALL APART like this.
I will approach HK to fix this sad situation. No shortage of photos showing the NON existing glue.
Be carefull guys.
VERY DISAPPOINTED.
??? Any ideas ???
I have something lik18 planes in my hanger...need I say more?
ps I am having a bad run or what. An AXN had a very noisy motor, a RadJEt a bent nose, so did others, etc, etc, etc... my nephew nought 2 turnigy radios, BOTH faulty. wow...
hi guys,
just to let you know, hobbyking has been very professional and have come to an amicable solution and the "alpha" matter is now closed. The turniggy radios were sent back for credit. The RadJet nose cone was straightened up (not as new, but) with TLC. By the way it is one nice plane to fly. GET ONE.
Cheers
