if you fly big helis this should be no problem. but lets say you fly a heli that level itself during flight, then this will be a problem with you, because i have this heli and this is real good, performance wise, but durability is another story, unless you never crash. basically, you have to treat this heli like a 450size 3d flybarless helicopter. hope this helps
My remote got reset to factory settings. I think I have managed to restore all settings manually but not 100% sure they are correct. does anyone know the remote settings as they were out of the box with this helicopter?
Yes,your Tx will only work with any Nine Eagles branded products,this is because in the 2.4ghz frequency different manufacturers design their radio's in different ways so that you cannot mix and match so to speak.
You can get a seperate receiver for the transmitter if you want but it is only good to match up with the other nine eagles servo's/esc's etc,not that practical really.

I have not had much luck with the Heli!
I'm from Brazil, I bought this equipment * August 2012.
Paying the freight more expensive than existed at the time.

When I opened the box the remote came broken!
I like the products of HobbyKing! But you can not succeed on any product!
This is very difficult to diagnose without actually flying the model or seeing it fly,you could try increasing the head speed slightly by slightly reducing the pitch curve in the hover,or turning the gain up slightly on the 3G unit with the gyro sensitivity adjustment.
The 3G unit is inside the heli but the adjustment is done in the transmitter,if you look at the menu in the transmitter the gyro sensitivity is factory set to 20%,try putting this up to 25%,also the pitch at point 3 is set to 55%,you could try dropping this to 50% which will raise the head speed and possibly help as well.

Swash separation is common on this model. I like it because it will separate in a crash easing any damage that may be done. I have crashed a ton and only have broken some skids and a main gear. i just press them back together and continue flying.
I can see that all the review for this heli are so bad? Still I ordered it !!

its not really bad at performance, its just some people don't realize this moves like a 450 size heli. most people fly 4ch helis and fly this heli without simulator time expecting it to level out like 4ch helis do, which is a bad bad move, because this heli don't level itself like other helis, you really can't leave the right stick on this one.
both BUT if you switch the switch on the back of the radio, MAKE SURE that the heli is off, and the transmitter is off, because if you switch to different mode and transmitter is on, the heli is still not in that mode. alot of people made this mistake and their helis shoots off as soon as they bind it. so be carefull, and happy flying!
So, if you wanted a $pektrum compatible Solo Pro 100, you would chuck out the NE board and fit a MCP X board for about $70 making your Solo Pro now $200 (with no parts available from HK) as opposed to a BNF MCP X for $169 (with parts available)? Think I would rather pay $169.
Nine eagles will launch a tx and rx named x6 pro and maybe will be compatible, for now you can only this tx with solo pro 100, solo pro 128d and some NE bnf airplanes. But the bad news is that this tx hasn't memmory so you will need to wait the x6 pro
Ok, i don't want to buy new tx. I hawe several already and also this heli got it for free from HK. Just thinking this looks like a bad-ass tx - maybe can use with other receivers. Would be wery nice selling point too.

This got to be the most disappointing product,waited a month to get it, couple of flights, stripped the gear, now grounded, no parts..looks like another month or 2 b4 getting it in the air again :( :(
Does that mean the throttle stick is always sprung, like on a Kyosho Minium Tx, or can you have it on a ratchet, and remove the spring?
Has anyone tried this Tx with a Nine Eagles BNF plane? Can someone confirm there's no model memories?

There are no spare parts or batteries available yet. But in previous posting Anthony announced that HK will provide nano tech lipos with matching plugs very soon.

In Europe you can get it for around 170Euro. If you add HK's expensive shipping plus VAT to HK price you are already at around 150Euro. So the saving between HobbyKing and a local hobbyshop is more or less not existent. So, no need to cry...

received mine today,was so excited but then it did not work properly! one of the servos on the 5in one controller does not work, the motor is tight and wont turn, just gets hot, therefore cant rate, waiting to see what cs have to say?? with the shipping this thing cost me 184US dollars

Gear mesh is way too tight. U/c is fragile. Should have used HDPE or PP instead of the brittle polymer used. Radio has no memory for other models. It would be a great toy if Hobby King stocked spare parts. Probably not their fault except that they should have told 9 Eagles that they would only stock this when parts were available.

Great Little help. Got it for free as I spent over $100. Much better than the little eflite I had as has full 3D. Once I put the Duel Rate to about 80pcnt and 15pcnt EXPO was fantastic. Flew inverted which I struggle with on 450pro. Just need to get the spares in stick
Got some helis as a freebie gift from HK. I am a beginner and not got one off the ground yet but I'll try someday. Good thing is that TX has a simulator port wich works with any universal simulator cable. I tryed FMS and worked OK. No assembly required, only You can set the lower expos in TX. Default setting are way too high.

The instructions are terrible with very bad english. My TX mode switch was broken and wouldn't change to mode 2. Had to open up and figure out what was broken and fixed. Shouldn't need to do these things for a brand new item. Spare parts are very difficult to find and HK seems to always be out of stock. Once TX settings are figured out the heli flies nice.
