Also wanted to point out that as a former hobby store owner I've seen **** and I've seen awesome. this is awesome, good design and as long as u don't over pwr it performs very well.
Certain small mods can improve it a small amount (see below) but are not actually needed. have fun all.
best tip I've found for this plane is don't just glue bottom of fuselage together. Cut a triangular pc starting about 1 3/4" wide at one point and aprrx. 10" long ending in a point. Glue into bottom of fuse fitting wide point just under motor and fit to bottom of fuse. helps with a little more lift and structural strength. good luck
Ok guys, this plane is so great I am purchasing another one for me. It is so forgiving and handles the wind so well that we need two. I did move the landing gear forward three or so inches but other than that with a little hot glue your ready to fly in no time. It has a problem with nose tipping on take off and this solved the problem. I've had the help ucando for years and this is far more superior in flight characteristics. Get high and fly.
This thing is fantastic.my nine year old is flying it like no other. Handles the wind hangovers when you want. Ordered the plane and it was here within a week. No problems
anybody ever had an item go missing in shipment? Still waiting after 10 days for even a tracking number from HK. Smells fishy to me...item was in CA warehouse...I'm in Ca, what up?
I had one shipment sit in their warehouse until i got on chat support with them. Shipped the next day via parcel post even though i had paid priority. I went back to chat with them to see if i could get my shipping refunded and it was a no go. :) Always a bit of a roll of the dice dealing with HK. I would say it's not rigged in the houses favor at least. Most of my business with them has been decent. Anyway, hope you have your plane by now. :D
Man. Really having trouble getting this together!! Thee hinges are impossible to get in it seems... But done with that any one have a link to some better detailed instructions?

Shipping time to OH was 8 days,Very lite foam looks to be 2-mm EPP- I have used this building method before, As it has epp ribs, with a wrap around "skin" of 2mm epp for the wings w/carbon spars top & bottom, Ele,Rud-two layers epp glued together,Fus -has the same thing but w/a block of epp in the front back to where the wing fits in, closed w/ hook&loop Over all should be Very nice 3-d plane and "almost" unbreakable I will try and post a video to better show the building method. I would recomend this plane BUT not for someone who wants to learn to fly without help as the foam is thin and wont stand up to a new flyers abuse!!

Just received my YAK54 EPP 3D. Very fast shipping from the US Warehouse! The instructions are very basic and would be good to have some build experience. It went together fairly easy and by looking up websites I found that the c.g. should be about 110 cm from l.e. of wing. I am looking forward to taking it out to fly. I am not a 3D flyer, but with the epp foam, I will be able to practice without too much damage. Thanks for the good value plane h.k.

Had it for over a year. Very repairable. Nose dived it maiden flight-Major crash-minor damage. Have got about 40 flights on it so far with many minor crashes. HTX900 servos, Hacker style 20-22L motor, 11x4.7 prop, Rino 1250 battery, Corona RP4S1 receiver , 540 grams flying wt,. Great vertical performance. Requires constant attention when in air -not a trainer but great plane to improve skills. Rudder design keeps plane level during rudder only turns. Very responsive.
