Turnigy dlux 40A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller w/Data Logging (USA Warehouse)

Turnigy dlux 40A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller w/Data Logging (USA Warehouse)

Turnigy® dlux SBEC ESCs have set a new bench mark in quality and performance. Each ESC uses a twin PCB design separating the motor power supply, MCU and SBEC. This design allows for optimum component layout on each PCB and provides the ideal configuration for heat dissipation and thermal efficiency. Both PCBs are enclosed in a full aluminum heat sink casing to ensure maximum heat dispersion. All Turnigy dlux ESCs can be programmed via a programing card or by transmitter. Clear and easy to understand instructions are included.

*Now featuring data logging viewable when used with Turnigy dlux programming box.

Okay so I'm still learning and I was wondering should I still add a TURNIGY Voltage Protector with this esc to help with not having a brown out or does this esc have it built in?
 m0u5e 15 points
I believe there is already one built , check out the programming options, LV = low voltage cut off , etc. hope that helps

40a SBEC 2-62 turnagy speed controller. The white wires going into motor, does it matter if they are plugged into Blue, black and red
 Rickey 1 points
the motor wires are colored, the ESC wires are all white
 matthew 17 points
just plug the white wires in to the colored wire and see if the motor spins in the correct rotation, if not reverse the wires until the motor turns in the right direction.

Most of the time it's color coded but there are times the color codes are wrong so u have to switch the colors around , ...It happened to me !

can this esc be used for airplanes ?
 Harold H 65 points
I don,t see why not. May be a little heavy but should be well cooled with a little air flow. Harold H

This is a nice ESC. Well made, nice throttle response and resolution. However, not carrying the programming box in the USA warehouse along with them is just plain STUPID. It doesnt really matter though, I rarely ever have to reprogram my ESC's after the first time. Still nice to have one though.

i LOVE THIS ESC!!! all the speed controllers i had on my hk 450 pro got hella-hot but this has a nice heatsink on three sides! if i ever need another 45 amp esc THIS WILL BE THE ONE. it's safe to use on any 450 size heli or .10 size electric plane

The esc is cutting off the motor at random in every fly.It cuts the motor about a seconds and then start again. I didn'd crash my 450Pro but the esc it's useless anyway. I've been searching the web and the problem seems to be an error in the temperature sensor of the esc, but I don't have the programming box to disable the temperature protection.

Using this with a NTM Rotor Drive 450 Series 1700KV motor with Turnigy 6s 1300mAh packs in an HK 450 TT flybarless heli. You can get it in the frame with a little work. I shortened the wires on both the ESC and the motor. Works great so far. I'll post some numbers as soon as I get the programer box.
