Turnigy® dlux SBEC ESCs have set a new bench mark in quality and performance. Each ESC uses a twin PCB design separating the motor power supply, MCU and SBEC. This design allows for optimum component layout on each PCB and provides the ideal configuration for heat dissipation and thermal efficiency. Both PCBs are enclosed in a full aluminum heat sink casing to ensure maximum heat dispersion. All Turnigy dlux ESCs can be programmed via a programing card or by transmitter. Clear and easy to understand instructions are included.

G'day, I have just replaced a Plush 80A with one of these DLUX 70A ESC in my HK500 (Typhoon 500 motor). To achieve the same headspeed the throttle position needs to be nearly double that of what it was with the Plush ESC. Do I have an incorrect setting somewhere?
Mode - Heli
Under voltage - Reduce power
Soft start - Enable
Battery type - Li-Ion/Li-po
Number of Cells - Auto detect
LI/Lipo cut off - V/cell 3.0
off voltage set to auto
Timing - Automatic
Switch frequency - 8KHz
Rotation reverse - normal
Temp protection - 95
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
It appears that when in Heli mode the Govenor is limited to about half the max RPM?? When in Airplane mode the RPM is as it was using the Plush ESC. Well there you go! Comments from HK would be appreciated.
Cheers.
Im new to electric's I have the above ESC, how do you know what lead from the engine goes where on the ESC given all cables are white, or doesnt it matter.
Hi I have a 70-sbec turnigy dlux 5s 300mah battery running a typhoon 2w20 with a 70mm fan unit and timming changing mad no diffance. Pwm was set at 16hz and I have the same problem? (Surge)Check the transmitter throttle travel is set to -150 percent 150 percent. That I did but no change.I tryed a different reciver and the surge went a way.(reciver was a Jr 770 36mh)See if this helps stephen
I bought this esc planning on setting the motor timing to low but it appears that you can not do this via your transmitter. The dulx programmer box does not show the very low, low or very high options as a setting.
the ESC HEar are Only type i trust ,and prefer ,as out of the many many ESC ,this Has All the protection over load ,and not 1 has let me Down ,,don't be fooled ,, we Only stock Quality ,not Rubbish ,, as being said , but the best with out doubt ,and the only 1 that will last many many flights ,and so far proved best to sell in any way, ,,as not many do have this protection circuits to stop fault . With any other brand i have many seen faulty but this.
As soon s it's in program mode (connect with throttle at max), cut the throttle with in 5 secs to min before it goes into the main programming modes. It worked for me OK..
I have this ESC in one of my planes and have found it to be fine but I think the soft start may be a bit hard for a helli , buy one and try it if its no good ill give you $10 for it LOL...
A SBEC is a switchmode BEC. That is why they use the S in front. It is also why it can handle 6S and still have a BEC.

I bought one of these to try out and in my Eflite extra 300. Have had zero issues with it after 15 flights and kept stock settings. Running my plane on 4s 4000mah 45c nanotech batts, rimfire 32 motor with a 13x8apc prop.

I am running one of these in a 1100 EDF with a 70mm Wemotec fan and a 2W20 HET motor. This combo pull about 55A max. The Turnigy ESc does not even get warm. Lots of programming features but the defaults are what you will probably use. I recommend this and will be buying more in the future.
not the best I put this in my fury 3D once you start punching the revs up and down as if you were hovering it cuts out, you have to put it to zero revs to then get it going again.
I bought 2 of these one works fine the other that is in my katana s FAILED on second flight destroyed my plane and they will probably refund me the 29$ it cost.. will hardly cover the cost of the plane don't take a chance with these in a nice planes run a battery for the receiver..
