HobbyKing P51 EPP ProfileFighter Unbreakable (33inch) (DE Warehouse)
HobbyKing P51 EPP ProfileFighter Unbreakable (33inch) (DE Warehouse)

The HobbyKing P51 Profile plane is made from super tuff EPP foam making it almost unbreakable! The included 2208-1450kv motor and 8x4 prop provide plenty of performance and make hand launching easy. You will require 3 x 9gram servos, 20amp ESC, a 11.1v 3s lipo battery around 600mah to 1000mah and your own transmitter and receiver (Tx/Rx) to complete the model.

The EPP ProfileFighter is an excellent parkfly plane for combat dogfight competition. Its light weight makes it very maneuverable (almost full 3D capable), strong enough to take impacts and easily repaired.
Perfect for club/group dog fights. Attach streamers and let it rip!
Flight performance is excellent thanks to the moulded aerofoil wing.

What prop
Georg  2 points - 3/13/2013

Hi- I built this plane and it flies fine. The propeller broke on the third landing- what spare prop do you recommend (best with article number)? Best would be from the German or a European warehouse, as then it takes only a few days to arrive. Thx, Georg

feine Bauteile !

PLEASE AD THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL!!!!

What the hell ... I made some assumptions in contrast to the manual before knowing there was a manual. Too late to go back now my wings will be 3 times stiffer then they should and my fuselage will probably wobble (Grunt!). Also too late to include dihedral ... the wire cuttings really did not help much in that anyway !!!! It it fly's well I'll make a depron version :-)

Hello, How many ampere neads the Motor? I have one good 18 A ESC, can I use it? Hallo, wieviel amper zieht der Motor? Ich habe einen 18 A dymond Smart Regler? Kann ich ihn verwä*nden?
 louigi600 218 points
It also depends on the prop you use. If you use a smaller prop you can safely use the 18A ESC. You can probabbly get away with 18A ESC as long as you don*t go full throttle for long periods.

GREAT Flyer.... I fly that on with 750mA 3S and the org. Motor. Easy to build, but: I've not used the bar GFK reinforcements out of the package. I've used a GFK bar 1X5mm. 1 for the fuselage, one for the Wings. Be carefully bi glueing a bar in to the elevator. My is bended a littel bit, really just a little bit, and the P51 goes straight in the sky! ;-) But there was no critical situation in the maiden flight. Fly the P51 1m above the ground, it is a very nice view! So over all: Thumbs UP!

These are the problems I've noticed on the unit I received: fuselage is conciderably warped, none of the precut gluing edges are in square the assembled unit looks a bit like something out of Picasso's mind, no instructions in the package (appart from quick flight instuctionm sin german). Important: check out the gluing surfaces and sand them down to be square unless you want a Picasso plane.

I love this plane. I've owned it for about 9 months and crashed it more times than you can imagine, but a bit of CA and it's back in the air again. A few things to note: - On 3S you can use an 8x6 instead of an 8x4, and it's much more fun. Don't worry, nothing melts :-) (You might therefore be able to use the 8x4 on 4S instead...) I run it on 3s 850mAh Turnigy, but you could easily fit a larger battery instead. This is probably a good idea on 8x6, as flight times are a bit short. 929MG Servos are great, and don't strip the gears when you crash... It's a bit easily blown around in the wind, unless you add some gyros. (I use 3 of the HK 401B gyros in rate mode.) This is highly recommended, as it makes the plane fabulous in all weathers, and means you can fly so much more often :-) Interestingly if also seems to smooth out your flying and enable you to make lower passes, neater axial rolls and better loops. It took a bit to get it set up right, but at least it was easy to mend! On crashing the fuselage tends to crack from just in front of the wing up to the battery cutout. Adding some 1mm CF rod made it much tougher. EPP is quite soft, and grass got embedded in the leading edge of the wing until I put some tape on it. So there you go, in a way it's a bit pricey for what it is, but it's been so much fun and survives so many 'landings' it's been well worth it. As a result of
