Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 5065-236kv Brushless Outrunner Motor

Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufacturers on the market today.

The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

i have a thunder tiger trainer arf plane that was .61 glow . i want to convert it to electric .. any suggestions ? the largest prop for clearance is 14 x 8 . the plane will way approx 7lb with 72" wingspan . just normal flying beginner/intermediate thank you

This is too big a motor for that. Look more for a 42XX 400-600kv motor on a 4s Lipo for what you need. Hop this helps.

any suggestions on prop sizerunning 15-7 6cell on 4260 500 i'm at 1100 watts power would liike to stay with that prop with this motor same set up will it stay at 1100 watts?
 GustPilot 265 points
a 236 KV , 6 cell, simple calculation on a 15x7 puts it at 1050 watts, you should be good, but when you look at the motor, 15x7 you will be underproping the motor, this one is definitely for a 17-20 in prop, depending on the cells of batt you are using

Your welcome, thanks for the credit.

is this the smallest outrunner with skirt-bearings? it seems perfect for my application where i want to put it in the wheel-hub of a small vehicle. just wondering what reasons HK have to put bearings there, can one assume this motor is also designed with less gap between magnets and coils then?
