Mini A-6 Intruder EDF Fighter Jet EPO (PNF) (USA Warehouse)
The A-6 Intruder was designed as an all weather ground attack aircraft and was the jet replacement for the legendary Douglas Skyraider, it has had a distinguished career, spanning 4 decades. This mini A-6 is Made from crash resiliant EPO foam it includeds 3 x 9g servos, 20A ESC and a mini yet mighty 50mm EDF fan unit and motor all pre-installed. All that is required to finish the model is your own transmitter/receiver (Tx/Rx), a 850mah 3s1p Lipo and around 45 minutes of build time.
Video of the unboxing, build, gyro mod and maiden of the Mini A6 Intruder. Has anybody had a problem with the CG per the manual? The model did not fly properly until it was made slightly nose heavy. Check the linkages as well. Rx and gyro installed in the rear compartment. Hand launch needs a healthy throw to get it going - see YouTube video of how Antony H did it.
Mike ... mine had an aileron linkage stopper that something on the threads so it never "held" properly. I thought it was all well and dandy until I found it refused to bank to the left.
I got this for free and cant wait fly it! What size batt is best to use 2get correct CG? Majik, which gyro did u use? I added hk401b gyro to my F9F jet and it flew very smooth. But crashed today when it stalled on a left bank turn. I think i held left ail stick too long and gyro freaked out.
Krash.. for free? Good for you ... I use a NanoTech 1000 Mah 3S wedged in place with foam. CG for me is about middle of the wing servo (slightly nose heavy for me). I use the cheap Esky 704 rates gyro. Don' use HH gyros unless the setting are low to disable the HH feature. Give it a lot of throttle and a strong toss at launch to gain air speed immediately - the gyro will counter the torque roll and you should be okay. Flying time is around five minutes and you will know when to come in as the power will taper off. The model lands hot so be ready to give it a lot of space for landing. Good luck!
Yes sir. It was offered as a freebie last time I placed an order over $100 bucks! I can't wait to get it. Thanks for the takeoff/landing tip.

Great plane , just in 1 hour ready to fly.
Very fast for his size.
I recommend use at least one 1000 mah lipo.

I was unbelievably disappointed with this airplane. It went together just fine, however the wings and horizontal stabilizer were warped so much so that the aircraft could not be trimmed. I did get it trimmed, however everything was so warped if flew terribly. I am a 20 year RC flyer and I have NEVER seen such a poor quality airplane as this one. I would not recommend this airplane to anyone. It is a complete waste of money and time. I would give it ZERO crowns if I could.

Great fun for the price, Ordered from the US warehouse and received it in a few days. I took some extra time during the build to wrap some sandpaper on a stick so I could smooth out the mold marks in the intake and exhaust to get the best performance. The receiver mounts in the bottom of the plane just behind the wing under the access hatch so take your time routing the wires in the ESC slot for the aileron servos. I had to remove the fan to get the esc out of the way and then hot glued the fan back in. I am using a 40c 850 mah battey 3 cells. This little sky angels plane is made of the tougher EPP or EPR foam. The tail portion felt a bit flexy until I had the tail feathers mounted. I left the optional drop tanks off to reduce drag, they would have intefered with the aileron servos unless I cut some material away. First flight easy to hand launch with an impressive climb outand a scale aileron roll rate. It is prety quick for a 50 mm and it can do a loop, the fan noise is a bit loud on this one. I get about 3 minutes of wide open flight, it will slow down and fly nice at about 75 pcnt throttle and get you some more time. It is an edf so if you slow down too much in a turn be ready to recover. The paint job helps to make it easy to keep orientation at a distance. Landings are easy with a good glide but it will drop a wing if you stall. You could fit a 1300 mah battery but the plan
